Lookin' for Love

When Sam first arrived here, Sam was like, where am I at? Who is this strong strange person holding me on a leash? Why is he keeping me by his side? Sam pulled all the way to the dorm, got cleaned up, got his nails clipped, had his ears cleaned, got checked for bugs and then fed. After all that, he walked around the dorm to get a feeling of where he's at. It was really busy, so he twisted and turned to every little noise. He has long ears that stand straight up when something gets his attention. So cute!

So far Sam is working on bed, wait, heel, and here. Next week they will move on to the rest of the commands. Sam is very shy, but after a few weeks he should come around. He still runs very well and he loves playing with squeaky toys. He is such a great dog and has not whined or barked since he has been here. He's very calm and relaxed and seems to get along well with the other dogs and all the people around him. His trainer thinks that Sam will make a great friend - or should we say best friend - in any household. Could it be yours?
