Little Princess
/June has done very well this week with her training! They added a new command, “belly.” She is a very quick learner and picked up on this new command with ease. The rest of the week they spent time working on sharpening all the basics. She's improving her response on the first que and holding each position for as long as her inmate trainer requests. Her “stay” and “sit-stay” have come a long way! Her inmate trainer can now put her in a “sit-stay” and leave the room and she will hold the position until he returns and releases her! She’s doing really well with “heel” they’re just working to have her hold it until released. She still got a bit of puppy in her so she can be a little impatient at times.
Her inmate trainer has taught her how to roo and she comes alive with personality when singing the song of her people! He says that it brings him so much joy and pride to see how happy she has become! June can be vocal at times, but her trainer is working to help her to understand that being vocal on command is the most rewarding.
June is a soft, sweet, and delicate little girl. If the other Greyhounds play too rough with her in the yard she tucks her tail and runs for her trainer. On the way to her inmate trainer’s side she’s happily wagging her tail. June is a little princess who bonds well with her pack leader.
