Top Tier Pup

Polly has adjusted so well to her new surroundings and routine. She's starting to show signs that she's feeling comfortable around everybody, which is good this early in the program. That little squirrel tail of hers is not tucked in like it was at the beginning. It's out and it's proud, and that is a sure sign of her relaxing.

Training is going well, too! She's very smart and picks up things quickly. She was already doing a perfect down when she arrived, so he simply tagged it and taught her to do it on command. Other things like stay, here, heel and wait were a piece of cake for her and she already looks like a seasoned pro. Sits are not her favorite (not uncommon for greyhounds) but she and her trainer are working diligently on it. She even did stairs last week with no problems!

Polly will make a great friend and superb companion in any situation. She is gentle, smart, demure, and just so darn cute! Look at that tongue hanging out in her profile picture. Now that is one happy pup. Don't let the gray hairs fool you! She's got a lot of spunk and she's only three years old - think of all the years of loving and fun you could share with this little cutie! And I mean little - she's only 54 pounds! Greyhounds are already great apartment dogs, and she would be a top-tier apartment dog. Just curled up like a little croissant on her day bed, then bounding up to greet you with love when you get home from work. She loves to run, but she gets tired quickly. She loves toys and chew bones, but mostly she just loves laying around and relaxing. And did I mention how cute she is?!
