Practice Makes Perfect

This week Jada spent her time brushing up on her basic commands and her three extras introduced last week, which are "back", "give" and "drop".  Repetition is the key to strengthening them in her memory.  Like the old saying goes, "practice makes perfect".

Jada loves playtime, so to keep training fun and interesting, her trainer adds extra play sessions.  This helps her burn off some of her extra energy and focus during training time.

Jada is also learning a new command this week:  "Circle" - This is where she starts in a position facing her trainer or in the "heel" position.  She then does a complete circle around her trainer and ends with her nose at his right hand, where she gets a treat.  It's a cute little trick and she picked it up very quickly.  She knows the drill; "Circle" = yummy treats!

Jada's inmate trainer says she is such a sweet girl and he is definitely enjoying his time with her.
