Happy Shy Sweetie

It's only been a few days, and Baron is still a little shy and unsure of his new environment. But this is very normal for a Greyhound in a brand new environment, and he is an absolute sweetheart. Baron is more motivated by praise than by food or treats, and has already started to feel more comfortable in his kennel. He has what is called a "happy tail," meaning that he wagged his tail with so much force that it broke against something and had to be partially amputated - but don't worry! This is actually fairly common with Greyhounds and their long dragon tails and friendly dispositions. It doesn't cause him any problems, and when he gets his excited, his cute little half-tail wags and wags!

Tune in next week to see how Baron is adjusting to his new life of learning and getting loved on!
