Sweet Boy with Sweeter Antics

Week 3 of training has been a very busy and successful week. Sam is such a smart greyhound! He had his first show and tell and he did wonderfully. He nailed all of his commands except for one, which was heel. He is definitely getting better at it though. Practice makes perfect! With Sam knowing his commands so well, they will start next week just using hand signals and then just verbal.

Sam loves to play! He usually likes to play with his one favorite toy, but his trainer introduced him to a jolly ball. This is a pink ball about the size of a soccer ball. He loves to push it around with his nose. Also, he puts his paws on top of the ball and rolls it around kind of like a soccer player moving the ball across the field. It's very cute! He still enjoys running and he is very fast, and everyone loves to see him tear it up on the big yard.

Another thing that his trainer found out about Sam this week is that he likes to be covered up at night. At around 9:30, he tells Sam 'night night.' Then Sam gets in the back of his kennel and goes to bed. Then his trainer covers him up with just his head peeking out of the blanket. Too cute! Wouldn't you like to lay around with Sam covered up with your favorite blanket?
