Unique Personality

it’s graduation! Falco’s trainer said Falco is an awesome dog to train. He knows all the commands and is a well behaved dog. His trainers enjoyed every minute with him. Falco enjoys playtime and running on the big yard. He is quite a unique dog with a unique personality. He loves treats and goes crazy for kibble.

Falco will have a place in his trainer’s hearts at Second Chance Greyhounds Academy. Thank you for adopting him and giving him a forever home. He will be your friend for life.

Funny Boy Falco

The first 5 days of this week were swap week, when the dogs are with a different primary training team. Falco never showed any signs of separation anxiety, and each day he settled in a little more with his swap week team. It was mostly comprised of just getting to know each other’s personalities and quirks.

The last day was show and tell and Falco did all of his commands well except for sit and down. Those are the two toughest for greyhounds, I mean just look at their long legs! The previous days he'd been doing them a lot better during training sessions, so it may have just been stage fright. They also had a severe thunderstorm one day, and he wasn't even afraid of it at all. In fact, quite the opposite! As the storm was approaching, he barked at the thunder trying to scare it away! He is a really funny boy.

Each day got better and better, and his swap week trainer is sure that Falco will do the same with his new family. Once he gets to know his new pack and they know his preferences and dislikes, he'll rapidly become a cherished member of your family forever!

Look At Me

Falco’s inmate trainer says that they’ve had an amazing week this week.  This week the “down” command was introduced and he did it the first time!  His inmate trainer says that he was completely surprised and proud of Falco!

Next week with be Swap Week. This is where the inmate trainers exchange greyhounds to work on any challenging commands and to see how they do without their primary training team.   Falco’s inmate trainer believes that Falco will do great!

Here Comes Falco!

Falco has came out of his shell even more this week. He’s just a late bloomer. LOL He has become more playful and gets really excited about going outside and running, although he prefers to frolic around by himself than run with the pack.

Falco loves playing with toys, He does great with “giving” the toy up when asked. His training is going well too. Falco’s trainer thinks he is going to make a wonderful pet for his forever family.

Hello There

Falco is progressing really well!   Sit and Down are still works in progress, but his inmate trainer says he knows that Falco will have these down pat before he graduates.  They’ve been working on Give with toys and treats and it seems like Falco has grasped the concept of it, but gets a little excited, so more practice is needed to clean up his response and duration.

Falco loves affection!  It doesn’t matter if you are petting him or scratching behind his ears, he’s all in!  His inmate trainer says that he believes that Falco is going to make an excellent addition to his new forever home.

Sleepy Sweetie

Falco is such a sweet dog. His trainer can sit down beside him, and Falco will put his head in his lap and just go to sleep! He always tries to get as close to him as possible – this sweetie just wants love! You are going to LOVE this guy.

His training is going so well and they are moving right along. His trainer introduced him to the sit command this past week – it’s not his favorite, but he’ll get the hang of it. It never takes long for him to catch on to something new!

Lounge Hound

Falco is really starting to open up and show his sweet and lovable personality. He is always happy to see his trainer. He has really started to figure out the command gig and did very well this week at show and tail.

Falco is also a real lounge hound. His favorite activity is lying on the bed beside his trainer while he watches tv. He would do it all day, if he could. Falco is going to make a great addition to any family and his trainer is looking forward to seeing his progress over the next 8 weeks.

Falco the Fantastic

Falco is a really sweet boy! He is so loving and affectionate, and always makes his trainer feel good when waking up to him because he's always so happy to see his trainer. Just bubbling with enthusiasm!

He and his trainer have started the learning process in earnest and Falco is responding very well. His trainer does not foresee any of the commands presenting problems for this genius hunk.

Falco is a laid-back hound and his trainer does not detect any behavioral issues at all. Falco's trainer can't wait to spend more time with him!

Dalmatian Or Greyhound?

What am amazingly handsome boy Falco is!  Is he a Dalmatian in disguise?  LOL  His ticking is like nothing his trainer has ever seen before.  So far Falco has adjusted well over the first week.  His apprehension has faded away into a curious and sweet boy.  He seems to be rather calm and laid back.  He does get excited when it’s time to go outside.  Is it race time?

Falco is motivated by treats and affection and his trainer thinks his training will be smooth sailing. He looks forward to the coming weeks.
