A Complete Turn Around

Apollo lived up to his race name last week coming to the prison, but he has almost done a 180.  is really coming out of his shell.  He is very comfortable around other people and the dogs. This week the inmates had a puppy visit them.  Apollo did very well around him.

Apollo is progressing nicely with his basic commands.  He knows "hurry and let's go" well and needs more work on "kennel", "release", "wait", "heel", "here", "sit", "bed", "down", "stay", but his inmate trainer has faith that Apollo will have these figured out soon.

He loves to run on the big yard, galloping and chasing the other dogs.  When his inmate trainer calls him from across the yard, Apollo barrels toward him, runs just past him, and then walks up to him, tail wagging and bobbing his head with joy.  He will keep walking with his inmate trainer until he says "go get em".  Then he is off and running again.

Apollo is very happy and eager to please.  His inmate trainer knows he will be a wonderful addition to anyone's family.
