Paying Attention

Leo is a very happy dog.  He knows all of his commands so his inmate trainer is working on sharpening Leo’s responses.  Leo will perform the down and stay commands very well while his sit and stay commands need just a bit more work.  Leo is a little unsteady in the sitting position for a long period of time.  It’s not unusual for Greyhounds to find sitting a little more difficult due to their posterior muscles!

Leo and his inmate trainer have been working on the kennel command from a far distance.  They’ve also been working on the attention game.  His inmate trainer laughingly says that Leo is so good at paying attention now that his staring is kinda creepy!  The good news is that it’s working and Leo is listening better now.

Leo is overcoming the shiny floor walk.  He still hesitates in the hallway, but is getting better.  His inmate trainer is working to build Leo’s confidence so that he’ll walk out brave and comfortable!
