Dirty Yella Dogs
/I have nothing against them. My mentor is one, after all. Fawn, red, red fawn, filling the available fosters section of the website. Then there's me. Easy to stand out in this crowd. Can you say, "slick & shiney"? Not so much in our actual neighborhood. Fonz is odd man out here. OK, since this is his forever home. 6 years and counting. Next door lives a black boy and girl, each about half my size. Across the street is Cocoa, a mixed Rottie girl about as big as all 3 of us combined. Nice enough, but that booming bark can rattle your bones. No wonder folks passing by tend to keep right on moving. With our deep chests, we can almost match her voice; but we are greyhounds, you know, so seldom have much to say.
BTW: Good news! Fonzy's feet are much improved and he's back with me on the stairs and doggie door. All of us are happy that Mom can quit playing doorman and dog walker. Her most of all.
