Foster Life
/Vegas has adapted very well to his foster home thus far. When he first arrived he showed slight signs of anxiety, and an extreme sense of curiosity. After just a few days he had picked up on our daily routine and has fit in quite nicely. He has had no problems with being kenneled for up to 12 hours at a time while we have been at work. He has had no elimination problems in the house at all.
Vegas has shown no signs of aggression toward his foster person's existing Greyhound or to any visitors. He is very playful and loves to be outside in the yard romping in circles, but he calms easily. In the evening he is extremely laid back and chill, and only wants some love and attention.
He can be very affectionate, too! His foster family is working to strengthen his basic commands and general manners. With each day they are building trust and respect for one another and in turn, creating a very enjoyable living experience for the whole family.
His foster person says he is hopeful for Vegas to have a wonderful forever home but until then, he is a welcome addition in their family.
