Perfect Gentleman

Hey everyone! Jack has had such a great week of training. He picked up leash-walking very quickly and seems to be a very smart boy. He is already making great eye contact and loves learning commands. Other than continuing to work on leash training, Jack has been learning wait, stay, heel, bed, here, kennel, release, let's go, and hurry. Most of those get used every day on the dog run, so he does very well at this point. Bed, stay and here have been the major focal point this week during training and he is progressing very well.

He also has been learning his name and the give command. 'Give' with his food bowl is not his favorite thing in the world; he loves his food but is slowly coming around and lifting his head when he's told to give. They are working on those commands until they're perfected, and then they'll move on and introduce sit, down, jump and off. Jack is doing very well with his adjustment to a new environment, and he's starting to show his personality. He is always happy to get out and learn, and is very affectionate. He loves to lie down on his bed and be petted. His trainer can't wait to see what else he has in store for them during the session! He imagines Jack will be a big fan of the toy room once it's time to introduce him, plus he'll get to run soon. Until next week, take care!
