Swap Week Superstar
/If you’re following the Second Chance blogs this week, then you’ve probably heard that we just had our swap week! One lucky team had Hector. When he came under their care, he was noted as being a ‘single-handler’ hound who liked his personal space. It seemed a little shaky at first, but within 24 hours Hector had accepted a whole team of people during feeding, playtime and general handling. With consistent bonding time and a few reminders when necessary, Hector quickly realized that they weren’t there to give him a hard time, but to make it better! Hector performed all of his commands extremely well during swap week and his team loved getting to spend time with him!
Hector spent four of the five days of swap week with his team, calmly coexisting. He even relaxed enough to be flat-out lazy! Hector is always a ravenous eater, but even then he was well-behaved. He has a hit or miss level of interest in toys, but he can be a real energizer hound when the mood strikes. This certified Good Boy is going to bring so much joy into your home - prepare your hearts!
