Another Surgery
/Due to the elbow fracture Peggy had been dealing with since mid-March, she developed “contracture” of her wrist on the affected leg. The surgery to repair the fracture was successful, however, the contracture needed a little help in the form of another surgery to relieve a very tight ligament in her wrist which would straighten her wrist.
In between the two surgeries, she was cast and bandage free - for an entire week! She was thrilled.
The ligament surgery was performed on July 17th. The cast was on for two weeks with a bandage change after the first week. On July 31st, the cast and the stitches were removed. Wa la, no more contracture!!
Now, on to rehab to get Peggy moving better and gaining strength on that leg she has been holding up since mid-March!
Go Peggy!!
