The Stay Master

George has greatly improved this week on his "stay" command.  His inmate trainer has been working on different "stays", like standing, sitting and down stays.  George has a really cute sit.  When he sits he likes to bring up one of his paws like he wants you to shake it, and he will tilt his head a little to one side.  It's almost like he's wondering where his treat is.

George is doing better on the stairs.  His legs are so long, that climbing them seems awkward for him.  He's such a goofy boy!

Mr. George is starting to like toys.  His favorite toys are a squeaky alligator and squeaky teddy bear.  Now that he is playing with them, his inmate trainer is working on incorporating some extra commands like:  "leave it", "give it", and "drop it".

George's trainer is very proud to say that George did really well with testing this weekend.  He did all of his commands on the first try.  His inmate trainer is dreading the day George leaves the prison.  He has grown very attached to this sweet boy in only a few short weeks.  He knows that whoever adopts George will form a bond that will last a lifetime.
