Attention Hound

Oprah is a big hit with everyone in the dog dorm. She makes her rounds at least once a day and literally begs for attention. No one is exempt; from the man digging shoes out from under his bunk, that gets a cold nose on the back of his neck. To the guys that are standing around talking, until Oprah charges into the midst, flops down on her side and starts thumping the ground with her tail waiting to be petted. Oprah is beautiful enough on the outside, but that doesn’t begin to scratch the surface of how she is growing as a pet. It’s only been a week and her trainer can see her making progress. She already knows a few of her commands and she leash walks very well. Oprah does believe that birds would make a good chew toy, so hold the leash tight, if any of our feathered friends are around.

As her trainer is writing this, Oprah is at his feet sleeping. She is having a great dream of running, as her paws are in motion. These next nine weeks will pass quickly and your newest family member will be home soon. Until then, I’ll enjoy every minute with Oprah.
