Curious Girl
/Week two is going well for Adele. She is adjusting nicely to her new surroundings and so far no signs of separation anxiety have appeared. Her trainer spent the week with her learning the basics such as her name, kennel, hurry, bed, release, and proper leash walking which includes the commands let's go and wait. For Adele the toughest thing is leash walking. Not so much the commands that give her trouble, but not pulling on the leash. She is just so curious and wants to be apart of anything and everything that you just can't wait. This is not a critical flaw of course, it is only week two. Lots of the other dogs are having to adjust to waiting and not doing whatever you want whenever you want. It just means for right now all of the training is focused on lots and lots of leash walking and less on sitting, down, and stay. The good news is they are making progress in her happy-go-lucky personality and she's staying positive throughout the whole training process. He thinks all that energy will really help her learn all kinds of things when she learns how to learn. See you next week!
