Holding Hands (and Paws!)
/Patsy loves the big yard where she gets to race around with the other dogs in her class. When her secondary trainer runs with her, she doesn't seem to understand that humans aren't as fast as Greyhounds! She almost tripped her trainer from dancing around playfully. So, her trainer learned to tire her out first and then run with her. That way, they can enjoy running together.
Patsy is a sweetheart and loves to be petted on her hind legs and scratched around the ears (who doesn't?). When she lies on her dog bed, she likes to reach out her paw toward her trainer's hand. If her trainer shakes her paw lightly for a few minutes she falls asleep. Speaking of paws, the fur between her pads is a sensitive area. When her trainer runs his finger along the fur, her foot curls up and she pulls away. So, he realized she's ticklish.
Patsy is a very curious dog and when you bring her home, give her a while to explore the sights, sounds and smells of her new environment. It is sure to help make kennel time easier if you plan to put her in one while you're not home. Her secondary trainer said that if it were up to him, he'd keep Patsy for himself! It's hard not to get attached to these dogs when you have put so much time into getting to know and love them.
Patsy is a beautiful dog who loves to meet new people and make friends. If you take the time to bond with her, you will thank yourself every day that you did. She's a wonderful friend and is going to make a wonderful addition to your family.
