Taking the Jump

Hi I’m Johnny.  I’m a retired racer learning new obedience skills.  I relocated from the race track to prison and it was a pretty big change.  It has taken me a while to adjust to this new place because it’s so loud and different.  I’m much more comfortable now and don’t mind wagging my tail to show my inmate trainer that I am much happier I am these days.

So, we’ve been working on this “jump” command and it’s a doozie.  Why you ask?  Well I jump onto a shiny bench.  It can be a little slippery and I’m not too crazy about these shiny slippery floors.  Well, regardless of how I feel about them I’m doing it!  I’ve overcome my fear and I’m jumping like a pro! Thanks to my inmate trainer for helping me to accomplish this!

I enjoy working with my inmate trainer.  He’s helped me to build confidence and realize that I can do anything I set my paw to!
