Sweetie Pie

Sandy is slowly settling in more and more every day. She is a shy girl and at first was unsure of her new surroundings. But the past week has been much better for her - she has gotten a lot more used to the group of people here, and all of the new noises, sights and smells that I'm sure are the polar opposite of anything she has ever experienced before in her life! She has been working on "sit" and is on the verge of following through and sitting on her own already! And it's only week two. By the end of the session, she'll probably be writing sonnets. 

She has also been working on her leash walking, which she does so much better than when she first arrived. She has been learning the "bed" command very well - she will lay on the bed in the day-room area as well as the bed in her kennel at feeding time, or when she gets back from play time in the yard. Sandy's trainer looks forward to the weeks ahead and is excited to see how much this sweet girl learns!
