Kind And Tender Hearted

Wow! The trainers can’t believe Sierra is almost done with her training and will be leaving them soon. Her trainer said It is going to be so hard watching her go. She is a very special dog with such a kindness and a tender heart that shows with any person she meets.

Sierra knows all of her basic commands and lots of tricks. She is eager to learn more as long as you bring the “treats.” Sierra has touched her trainer deeply; when she arrived, she was so scared and shy. Like most, she was coming into Pulaski to change and become better. As her trainer has said before, Sierra has done a complete 360 degree turnaround. She is not the same greyhound! She reminds her trainer of herself.

Sierra is ready to bring all of the love, kindness and playfulness to her new family. You are going to love her!

Grown Up Girl

Sierra has truly grown up during this session. When she arrived she was this scared, shy, non-approachable puppy. Now she is so friendly, playful and doesn’t meet a stranger. She is so sweet and super fast too!

Sierra is her trainer’s shadow when she moves. She believes that Sierra could learn to do some really cool tricks. She was playing and running with the other dogs when out of nowhere she jumped and cleared three dogs in the air! She has mastered all of her basic commands and has so many additional tricks under her belt too, such as “Catch,” “Bounce” and “Kiss” to name a few.

Beautiful Little Lady

Sierra is just amazing! She is sweet, playful, gentle and very smart. All of her fuzzy puppy hair is gone now and she has transitioned into a beautiful little lady. Her coat is so silky and black and has completely filled out. She looks like a totally different dog than when she first arrived.

“Show and Tell” was this week and boy did she show out. She made her trainer so proud! Not only does she have her basic commands mastered, she also knows so many extra tricks as well. Sierra can “Shake,” “Spin” and “Show Me Love” just to name a few.

Quiet And Loving

This was swap week for the dogs and trainers. Sierra’s swap week trainers said that she is different than Dotty. They all have different personalities. No two are alike. The trainers said Sierra is very quiet and loving. She loves to be petted and have her belly rubbed.

She is very treat/kibble motivated with her commands and toy motivated as well. She knows all of her basic commands and did very well with her follow through. She is a little slow to respond to the “Jump” command, but she should have it figured out by graduation. Sierra does not really like to lay on the big beds while in the day area. She would rather walk around. They really enjoyed working with Sierra very much this week.

Stunning And Smart

Sierra’s trainer loves her so much! Sierra is literally attached to her at the hip. She wonders how she will ever be able to give her up. She is truly her trainer’s sidekick. Sierra is stunning compared to when she first arrived. There is one lucky family out there waiting for her.

Sierra really shows out at “Show and Tell,” she loves everyone and gosh, she is so smart! “Swap” week is coming up and she will be missed like crazy, but her trainer knows she will do great.

Sierra’s recall is awesome! Call her name and say “here” and she’s right back to you in a flash. She loves to play, especially fetch.

The dogs got to run for a short time this week and they were so happy! Sierra is so fast.

She still enjoys her spa sessions, being brushed and groomed daily.

So Sweet And Lovable

Sierra is doing great. She really showed out at “Show-and-Tell.” Her trainer would really love to just keep her! They are attached at the hip.

Sierra loves to play with anything squeaking, and loves to just walk around with it. Her most active time is definitely in the morning but her trainer keeps her going throughout the day. Her trainer loves seeing the dogs run together. Sierra loves Conner, he is like her big brother.

Sierra is just so sweet and lovable.

Very Special Greyhound

Sierra’s nick name that she has been given is “Tornado,” which at times, she is. She is nosey and curious about everything. When she is not in her trainer’s room, she likes to walk around. She might lay on the beds for a short time, then she is back to walking.

Sierra has given in during training because she has found out that her trainer’s patience outstands her own stubbornness. The new result of this is that she now is eager to train everyday and loves it. Sierra is doing great and is so smart, incredibly sweet and playful.

Sierra loves squeak toys and balls! She hasn’t had any accidents and is very well potty trained and “Kennel” trained. There is no whining or barking. She is just patient until you let her out.

Her trainer has fallen in love with her shadow, Sierrra. She is a very special greyhound.

Coming Out Of Her Shell

Well this week has been tough for the trainers and dogs. The corona virus has hit the dorm. Sierra has been okay despite her team being pretty much stuck in the bed, but they are getting better. Sierra has come more out of her shell this past week. She is very curious about everything and likes to explore.

Sierra can be stubborn and mischievous, but so sweet at the same time. Training is fun and patience will be the key! The only issue so far is “Sit.” She will do everything but “Sit”. This is a hard command for greyhounds, but he trainer will keep working with her. She knows she will figure it all out very soon. Sierra loves squeaky toys but isn’t too sure about the sharing part. Sierra’s trainer is working with her to show her that sharing is lots of fun too.

She loves the blankets and pillows on her bed and likes the fan blowing directly on her. Silly girl. Sierra doesn’t like bananas but loves everything else. She is very smart and will know all of her commands and tricks by graduation day.

Incredibly Sweet

So far Sierra’s trainer has definitely fallen in love with her. She is incredibly sweet and loving. Sierra doesn’t know what a stranger is. She goes up to the officers and other inmates with her tail wagging like crazy. Sometimes when walking on a leash, she looks as if she is scared, but after observing closely, her trainer thinks that she is just taking in her surroundings.

Sierra does very well leash walking. She is very silly and loving with the other dogs. Sierra is very smart and she is going to do fine with training.

She has no problems being in the kennel. She will not eat or drink in the kennel but they will be working on that. Sierra knows the basic commands “Let’s Go,” “Release” and “Wait” so far and will begin learning more soon.
