ADORABLE!

If Jake’s trainer had to describe him in one word, she said it would be “Adorable”. He has the cutest looks he can give you. He is not a fan of being left alone for long periods of time and will whine a bit. He loves to follow his human around and keep one eye on you at all times. He’s a sweetheart.

Jake continues to be food/treat motivated. He’s done a great job learning all his commands and tricks. He’s only slow to respond to “jump” and “stay”. The boys aren’t used to having to jump at the track, as their kennels are on the bottom, so the boys usually take more time to warm up to the idea.

Jake’s trainer said the time she and the others have spent with him have been great. They are sad to see him go, but are overjoyed to know he is going to have an amazing life in his forever home.

Yep. I'm Cute And I Know It.

Jake continues to show how smart he is!  He excels with his commands and his performance makes his inmate trainer proud.  She says that Jake is a joy to work with.  He’s smart and easy to train.  He knows most of his commands with hand signal and verbal cues.  They’re still working on the “jump” command.  He knows it. He’s just not sure how necessary it really is.  His inmate trainer says they’ll continue to work on smoothing this one out until he realizes it’s more fun to follow through.

Jake’s trainer says that the family who gets to adopt Jake will be getting one of the sweetest and cutest boys ever!

Lover Boy

Jake’s trainer focused on hand signals for his commands this week and he has done very good and continues to get better every day. He loves to receive praise and treats for his commands and extras.

Jake loves to play with his toys, especially in the early morning. Laying around and being lazy is one of his favorite things. Greeting people is at the top of this list too. Jake is a lover and enjoys cuddle time with his humans and sometimes other greyhounds. His trainer is very proud of his accomplishments he has made.

Counting Down The Weeks To Graduation

Jake is doing great with his daily training and is always food/treat happy. He continues to have a very laid back demeanor. Jake loves to play with toys and is very comical when he does.

This week they worked with Jake on food/table surfing. He is doing better, but can be as quiet as a mouse, if you turn your back on him. His trainers are also proud to report his kennel training has greatly improved. Jake is well on his way to graduation day.

Is It Nap Time Yet?

During this past week of training, Jake has done very well. His nap times are still his favorite. Jake is so funny and laid back. He is such a joy to be around and work with. His trainers are proud of his progress so far.

Jake knows most of his basic commands well. He is slow to respond to jump, stay and leave it, but his trainer will keep working hard to have them mastered by graduation. He is learning some extras, such as bang bang, shoe me love, shake, paws up and catch. Only four more weeks and he’s all yours.

Mr. Couch Potato

Jake is a morning pup and enjoys training in the early hours when it’s quiet. He knows most of his commands quite well. He can be slow responding to wait, sit and jump, but his trainer is sure he’ll have them figured out in no time. He knows some extras too. He knows show me love, shake, paws up and bang bang.

Jake’s trainers have been diligent in his kennel training and he is doing much better with being left alone. He is a sweet boy and does well greeting people and loves to be petted.. He also very much loves being a “couch potato”. Nap time is a must for him. You don’t have to ask him twice. LOL His trainers said they enjoy watching Jake grow and become a great companion for his forever family.

Greyt Companion

Jake’s inmate trainer says that she’s enjoyed seeing more of Jake’s spunky personality come to life.  He loves playing with toys!  He loves to be pampered and always has time for good ear rubs.

He continues to do well with training and improves daily.  He does have a bit of sleep startle when his back feet are touched.  His inmate trainer is working on this, but it’s always wise to make enough noise, toss them a treat, or call out their name, so your pup knows you’re coming.  In truth, none of us like to be woken abruptly.  Some humans have sleep startle too!  LOL

Jake’s inmate trainer says she’s really enjoying working with this sweet boy!  He’s easy to love and just a great companion!

"Chill" Boy

Jake….. The best way to describe him is “chill”. He loves to lounge around and take a good nap with his pillow and blanket. This week during training he has shown more excitement, but can also be stubborn. He knows nine of the thirteen basic commands and is well on his way to mastering the others.

Jake likes bananas, apples, peanut butter and yogurt. His trainers are amazed with Jake’s progress and are so proud of him.

Master Of The Sleep Command. LOL

Jake’s favorite activity is…… SLEEPING! He is definitely in retirement mode. He has adjusted well to his environment and loves attention from everyone. He finally found a toy that he likes and is doing much better with “giving” up the toy when asked.

Jake manages the stairs very well, both up and down. Training is going well. He has caught on to quite a few of the commands already. He can be stubborn at times, but a little bribe of his favorite treat, peanut butter, and he’s back in the game.

Jake’s trainers are enjoying getting to know him and look forward to several more weeks of progress and love from Jake!
