Here comes a special boy!

Dear forever family,

Isaiah’s trainer would like to tell you a little bit about your new dog, Isaiah the greyhound. He is a very loving and calm dog, who likes to lie around and munch on treats. He does so well with his commands although he struggles a little bit with walking around in large crowds (who doesn’t, honestly?). But he is getting much better at handling that, since all it takes is practice.

Isaiah loves to play and lie around on his bed, but most of all he loves to love on his humans and make them feel better when they are feeling down. Every morning has a good start with Isaiah there, ready to love you. His primary trainer knows he will do the same for you! Get ready to welcome him into your family and your hearts, and best wishes for his new life with you!

Peanut Butter Boy!

It’s swap week at Second Chance Greyhounds Academy! This is where the dogs hang out with another trainer for a week to see how they do. Isaiah had no problems with the change. What a handsome brindle boy! Isaiah is very observant and has an extremely loving and fun personality. He performed all his commands with ease. He loves peanut butter and hanging out on his bed. Get ready to meet your fun-loving greyhound!

Gimme Some Lovin'

Isaiah’s inmate trainer says that in a short amount of time Isaiah has shown his bright, loyal, and happy character.  If you’re having a bad day Isaiah’s just the fix you need. He loves attention and will never turn down a good side pat or ear rub.  He’s a smart boy who is always aware of his surroundings.

Isaiah knows all of his commands and preforms them happily especially if a treat is involved.  He’s an easy going guy.  He hasn’t shown any interest in toys yet and would much rather have a treat.

His inmate trainer says that he has no doubt that Isaiah’s forever family will fall head over heels in love with this wonderful guy!

Tender-hearted

Isaiah is doing well with his commands. His trainer is still having to work on how long he is willing to hold the sit position, but that is normal for greyhounds. He is working on heel as well, since he seems to want to jump back or back up into position instead of going all the way around into a heel. So his trainer is working diligently with him to make sure he has it nailed before graduation comes!

Isaiah does well in the dorm, and is getting used to going down the hallway and not reacting to all of the loud noises. He has really come out of his shell in the dorm and likes to go around and be petted from anyone willing to give him a pet or scratch. All in all, Isaiah is a great dog!

Gentle Soul

Dear future forever family,

Isaiah has been progressing well with each passing week. It is a sheer joy for his trainer to get to work with him. Isaiah is a very kind and gentle dog who loves to run on the big yard. He also loves to be petted and praised. Isaiah is eager to please and he has a gentle soul with a unique personality that's all his own, an even temperament and divine spirit. Isaiah learns quickly and he responds positively to most commands. He is awesome to work with and will make a great pet for your family!

The Best Boy!

Isaiah is doing great! This week at show-and-tell, he performed his commands with great ease. Since he is doing so well, his trainer is going to start teaching him the down command, and because he's always pawing him for love, he's going to teach him the share command as an extra. Isaiah is a loving dog and will turn over for a belly rub and look at you like you're crazy when you stop. He doesn't care for toys, but he sure loves to run outside with the other dogs. He must have been a good racer! His trainer really enjoys his time with Isaiah because he is such a good boy!

Always Up For A Belly Rub

Isaiah had his first show and tell this week and he did very well. His trainer has worked with him on all his commands, but “down”, which he plans to work on that starting this week. Isaiah doesn’t play much with toys yet. He will bite on them a little and then he’s done.

One thing Isaiah does love, is to run! He loves to get out on the big yard with the other greyhounds. The one thing Isaiah loves more than anything is a good ole’ belly rub! He loves being petted and all the attention that goes with it. He will take that over treats. Isaiah is a very loving dog and great companion to have by your side.

Lounge Hound for Life

Isaiah has had a good week. He and his trainer worked on stay, sit, wait and jump. He picked up on jump right away! He's a little shaky on sit, but he is getting better every day. Isaiah is a very laid-back, relaxed dog. He enjoys lying around and getting petted while snacking on peanut butter and other treats. His trainer is very happy with his leash walking, and if he does get ahead of you, all you have to do is shake the leash a little bit and he gets back into position. Isaiah is quiet and does very well in the kennel. He's going to make a great pet for someone!

Just Chillin'

What a smart and loving boy Isaiah is! He is doing very well with his commands. His “wait” at doors is almost perfect and his leash walking has improved tremendously since arriving a short time ago. He is still a little shy around new people, but once he gains your trust, you are as good as gold.

Isaiah is a very quiet greyhound, with a mild temperament and laid back attitude. His favorite things to do are chillaxing and get petted. He is going to make a greyt pet for some lucky family. Could you be the one for Isaiah?

Shy Guy

This week was spent mostly on Isaiah and his trainer getting to know each other. Isaiah is very timid, but his trainer hopes that with more time he will come out of his shell. He seems like a very intelligent dog and walks on a leash very well already in just his first week here. He and his trainer worked on a few things, like learning his name, learning about his new kennel, wait, let’s go, and hurry commands. He’s done really well with those so far. He is quiet when he is in his kennel and hasn’t made a peep so far! Once he gets more acclimated to his surroundings, he won’t be so timid – he’s just a good boy all around!
