A Keeper

Rosita has progressed very well over these ten weeks.  It took longer for her to show she understands the commands, because she is a shy girl. But like they say, slow and steady wins the race.

Her trainer feels that when Rosita gets into her new home feeling comfortable, she will do great. Some greyhounds take longer to warm up to people and settle in to new surroundings and Rosita is one of them. Give her time and you will be glad you did. She’s a wonderful pup.

Rosita’s trainer said they have formed a great bond and she truly has enjoyed watching her come out of her shell and grow over these past 10 weeks.  Rosita is a wonderful sweet dog!  She listens very well to her trainer.  Rosita will be missed very much.

Super Sweet Girl

Rosita is still doing great!  Her social skills are improving every day and her personality is beginning to shine.  She is so playful when outside.  She enjoys prancing around, but will join in on a race.

Rosita is making progress with her training.  It may take her a few minutes to respond, but eventually she will.  Overall Rosita has improved so much.  She may need more work with a few commands but she does know the basic ones.

Rosita is not fond of strangers and can be a little on the shy side but has not shown any aggression.  She would rather turn and go in the other direction. Some greyhounds take more time to warm up to people and Rosita is one of them. Give her time and love and she will be your best friend. Rosita is an amazing dog and her trainer is going to miss her, but is happy to see her go to her new home.  She has brought her trainer so much joy and peace!

Bonita Rosita!

The progress Rosita has made from day 1 is remarkable! She is still not comfortable with the loud noises around the dorm, but she will tolerate them. Her trainer feels she will do much better once she gets in her forever home. Rosita is a beautiful girl with a sweet personality. It takes time for her to warm up to new people and new surroundings. Give her patience and time and you will see Rosita blossom.

Over the past week, Rosita mastered “down”. She is doing much better with “sit” and “here”. She knows most of the basic commands well, but you know what they say… Practice makes perfect.

Rosita has these late night burst of energy moments. It’s funny and exciting to watch her trying to roll over. Today she was so excited to come out of her kennel and into the room, she actually picked up a toy and played with it. Rosita, you are too cute!

Prancing Rosi

Rosita is doing great this week!  She is great off leash, she comes right away when called, and is pulling less on leash.  They have been working hard on her commands this past week, and she is definitely going to master them all before the 10 weeks is up.

Rosita is still a little jumpy around all the business and noises of the prison, but her trainer is confident she will be calmer and more comfortable once she gets into her forever home.  Rosita loves to prance around the yard and watch everything going on.

Gotta Love a Good Lean

Rosita’s social skills are continuing to progress well.  Her knowledge of commands is improving, and she does her best work training first thing in the morning.  She sure loves her peanut butter when learning her commands!

Rosita still likes to lean on her trainer or people she trusts during new social situations, and is not a fan of loud, sudden noises. They sometimes startle her.  But overall she is doing great and is improving week after week.

Curious Rosita

Rosita is continuing to become more confident and curious about her surroundings. Her curiosity has made her a little easily distracted during training, as she isn’t interested in treats or toys just yet. Still, she has mastered over half of her basic commands halfway through her training, so she is perfectly on track.

Now that it has cooled down Rosita loves to play outside. Every time she sees her leash she gets so excited because she knows she’s going to get to run around with the other dogs. She is getting better and better about playing with them inside and out.

So Brave

Rosita is coming out of her shell more and more each day. She is becoming more comfortable around people and dogs. She likes to play with the other dogs when they’re outside, but hasn’t played with any toys yet. Her training is starting to improve as she becomes more comfortable and confident as well. Her trainer is so proud of her, and says that Rosita brings a smile to her face every day!

Confidence

Over the past week Rosita has made great progress in overcoming her shyness. Patience is the key. Now she has started approaching people on her own. She is still quietly curious, and prefers sitting back and watching everything going on to getting involved.

Rosita’s training is also going very well. She is working on “Bed”, “Let’s Go”, and “Here”. Rosita got to run this week and loved it. Her recall was very good, and she enjoyed playing with and chasing her trainer.

Rosita's Spot

Rosita has made a lot of progress over this past week. She is slowly but surely coming out of her shell. She has a big burst of energy every morning and then is calmer throughout the day. Her trainer has tried introducing her to toys, but so far she only stares and raises her ears curiously.

Rosita is picking up her commands very well so far. She’s very good at “Kennel” to go into her crate and then “Let’s Go” to come back out. “Bed” she is a little more hesitant with, but only when her bed isn’t in the corner (her favorite spot).

Sidekick

Rosita is a beautiful and sweet dog, who has already opened up so much to her trainer in just these first few days. Her trainer has already nicknamed her “my little sidekick”.

Rosita prefers napping and quiet time to loud times with the other dogs in the play room. When she is with the other dogs, so likes to sit back and watch what all of the people and dogs are doing rather than joining in. Her trainer is excited to see her come out of her shell over the next 10 weeks.
