Exceptionally Smart

Week 10 is here and Marley's inmate trainer is amazed at how quickly time can pass when it is spent in the presence of a dog.  Marley is an exceptionally smart greyhound that learned all of his commands rather quickly, so his trainer had to add extra commands to keep him busy.  Marley would figure out what his trainer wanted (or what would get the treat) after only a few tries.

Marley is also a loving dog that prefers to stay close to you.  He has learned to play with toys and will tire himself out playing.  Marley's trainer has gotten very attached to him and will miss this awesome boy dearly.

Loving and Loyal

Marley has taken it easy this week, and has enjoyed hanging out with his trainers.  He has opened up and become a lot more playful since arriving at the prison.  He is such a goofball!  He loves plush toys and will throw them all over just to chase them.

Marley has learned a variety of extra commands like "kiss","bow", "spin", "back", "give", "bang", "roll over", "fetch" and "shake".    He will do all of them and his basic commands in hopes of getting a treat.  Marley will lay around for hours and then burst into a ball of energy and act just like a puppy.  He is extremely loving and will stay close by you as you go about your day.

Marley's trainer has nothing bad to say about this silly boy, except that he is going to miss him so much.  Whoever adopts Marley is in for a real treat!

Good As Gold

Marley has gotten very good at doing most of the extra commands that we have been working on.  He is still a little reluctant to fetch, but they are progressing. Marley has been working on "over".  This is where the trainer gets Marley to roll all the way over.  Just another extra command to add to his long list of commands.

Marley has started playing with toys and gets very excited over them.  In fact, that's the only time he does get excited and really energetic.  He is a loving greyhound that likes to stay close to his owner, now matter where they go.  He is improving when it comes to remaining on a bed when left alone.

In a few weeks Marley will go to his forever home.  His inmate trainer hopes his new family with have as much fun with this big guy as he has.  Marley's trainer said it is going to be hard to say goodbye to this rare gem of a greyhound.  He knows his new family will think they struck it rich with Marley and they are absolutely right!

Unlimited Learning

This week was a fun week with Marley.  He has mastered all of his commands, so he learning a long list of extras:  "spin", "bow", "kisses", and "show me love", "fetch", "give", "back" and "drop".  Marley has also gotten pretty good at "bang".  This is basically shooting him with a finger (as a gun) and saying "bang."  He will roll over and play dead.  There's no limit on what Marley can learn.

He has started playing with toys for brief periods and will act just like a puppy!  He is so smart and quick to pick up on whatever is expected on him.  He still likes to stay right beside his trainer, no matter where he goes.  He's like velcro.

Magnificent Marley

Sweet Marley knows all of his basic commands to a "T".  When treats are involved he will go through every command he knows trying to get a treat.  He is still learning to focus and pay more attention to his trainer.  All eyes are on his trainer when treats are involved.  This week they are working on 2 more extras: "back" and "shake", and also working on varying distances with all the commands he knows.

Marley is a very loving dog that likes to remain close to you like glue.  When he gets tired he more than willing to go to his kennel.  Marley is a great dog and his inmate trainer is very proud of all he has accomplished so far.  Marley is a magnificent greyhound and will become your new best friend!

The Art of Spinning

Marley is an intelligent guy who learns quickly and has adjusted well to his new environment. His inmate trainer is proud to report that Marley learned all of his basic commands within the first two weeks.  What are the basics you ask?  Well, take a look at the following list:

Hurry
Let’s Go
Kennel
Release
Wait
Heel
Here
Sit
Down
Stay

Jump

Marley and his inmate trainer have spent the last week working on reaction times and holding the “stay” command.  To keep training fun Marley’s inmate trainer has added a few extra commands in the mix.  Now, in addition to his basic commands he can perform: spin, bow, kisses, and show me love.  By far Marley's favorite command is “spin”!

Marley’s inmate trainer says that he believes that Marley will fit into any home.  He is looking forward to the days ahead with this amazing boy!

Just Keeps Getting Better and Better

In just two short weeks Marley has learned the dynamics of all his basic commands! This past week he and his inmate trainer have been working on his reaction time and he has shown great improvement!  His inmate trainer says that Marley just gets better and better every day.  They’ve been working on the “stay” command and while there’s room for improvement his inmate trainer is thrilled with how far Marley has come.

Marley is an affectionate boy that will happily stand right next to you for as long as you’ll pet and rub him.  His inmate trainer says that Marley’s love of affection does make it a little more difficult to teach distance in training but he has no doubt that Marley will catch on very soon!

Learning at Lightning Speed

Marley has come a long way in just two short weeks.  He is learning all of his basic commands and will perform most of them fairly quickly.  He is so smart and treat motivated, that he learns new things at lightning speed.

Marley is a super loving dog that wants to stay as close to you as possible.  He's like velcro.  This does make some commands more difficult to teach. ("stay" and "bed").  Just a minor obstacle to overcome.

This boy is going to be a great addition to any family.  Could it be yours?
