Gimme All The Toys!

Over the past ten weeks with Venus her trainer has had the joy of seeing her transform into a baby girl ready for her forever home. She said Venus is such an amazing companion. She loves to play, be goofy and is always eager to please. She believes all the toys should belong to her, although her absolute favorite is the squeaking chicken or green pig. It’s the most adorable thing when she snatches them and runs back to her kennel.

Venus love to try and find the birds when she is outside. She is always ready to meet and great people. She enjoys being in her kennel and she enjoys her body pillow to curl up with. Everyone at the prison loves and enjoys Venus and her trainers are going to miss her dearly.

Eager To Please

Venus’s trainers absolutely love her. She is the most fun loving, playful baby. Her trainer said is so goofy and fun to work with. She gets so eager to please that sometime when her trainer tells her to sit, she starts going through all of her commands. Venus still loves her toys and really loves to hoard them in her kennel. She enjoys being groomed and will nudge you to keep going.

Venus still does not like her tail touched. Nap time is a favorite. She loves to go into her kennel and lay on her toy babies. Venus is adorable when she roaches and she still smiles when she plays with her trainers.

Getting Ready For Graduation

Venus is such a goofy girl. She continues to love her toys so much that she hoards them in her kennel. She loves to roach in her kennel too. She will even roach out on her mat. Venus can be stubborn at times, but does what is asked of her. Venus loves to visit with people and hasn't met a stranger yet. She is such a loving girl and her trainers are so proud of all she has accomplished this training session.

Smile

This week Venus showed us her happy smile. When she plays she will smile. Venus is very spunky and loves attention. She loves her toys and to play with her trainers. She is not a fan of her tail being touched. Venus loves to take naps and roach on her back with the fan blowing on her.

Training is going great. She knows all her basic commands and also a few extras. (leave it, bang, bang and kiss). Venus will do her commands without treats. She enjoys praise for a job well done.

Happy Hound

Venus’ inmate trainer says that every day is joy filled with this sweet girl!  Her response times are showing great improvement and she’s always ready to play.  They’re working on “leave it” to help with her toy obsession.  If it makes  a sound she thinks it hers!  She wants all the toys all the time! She loves playing with the soccer ball and is generally a happy hound! 

Lots Of Love To Give

This week Venus has worked on “leave it” and her response time with her basic commands. Her trainer said she is such a goofball and loves to play. Venus is so loving and she is very attention/affection driven. She doesn't always need a treat. A good petting for a job well done does the trick.

Venus loves her naps and a good massage. She is lazy like a greyhound. Her trainers love her and are so proud of her progress.

Friendly Girl

Venus is very treat motivated and loves attention. She is such a friendly loving girl. Venus loves to play outside with the soccer ball and with her trainer. She also loves to play fetch. Venus continues to try and confiscate all the toys. She will take them to her kennel to lay on after she has worn herself out. Looks like we have a toy hoarder on our hands. LOL

Spa Day For Venus

it was a fun filled week with Venus. She loves to play with toys and her handlers. She is doing great with her commands. She knows hurry, let’s go, kennel, release, wait, here, down and bed well. She knows heel, sit, stay and jump, but is slow to respond, so her trainer will work harder on these this week. She is eager to please, so her trainer knows she will have them down pat very soon. Venus’ trainers are so proud of all she has learned so far.

Spa day was this week and Venus was pampered with a nail trim, ears, teeth and face wash. She didn’t seem to mind any of it. She loves her treats and enjoys a good bowl of ice water after play time. She’s a sweet girl and her trainers said she is a joy to have around.

Adorable!

As this week has passed, Venus’ trainers have had a great time. Venus is such an expressive girl! She is very treat motivated and eager to please. They started working on “sit” and she is doing great with a little guidance.

Venus loves her toys or anything that squeaks. She is adorable and her trainer absolutely adores her. She is a happy girl and loves to meet and greet people. She still enjoys her water and has started eating all of her breakfast. Venus loves her nap/lounge time with her pillow and toys. Her trainers said Venus is such a joy to work with and they are looking forward to seeing the rest of the progress she makes there.

Fast Learner

Venus is a playful and fun girl. The first few days in prison, Venus didn’t want to eat her breakfast, but she is settling in and doing better now. She does love her water and will drink until the bowl is dry.

Venus is doing great with her training and is a fast learner. She knows hurry, let’s go, kennel, release, wait, down and bed. Venus is very treat motivated and her trainers are excited to see the progress she will make during her time at Pulaski.
