Lacey’s transformation from her first week to now is truly astounding. Playtime and nap time are both serious business for her and she’s all about business. Lacey is attentive to those around her and gives appreciation for the love she receives. There’s not much she doesn’t like and is a pretty easy going gal. Not much bothers Lacey. She is a wonderful dog and her trainer knows Lacey’s forever family will love her as much as she does.
Lacey’s routine is packed with as many power naps as possible. A once alert and inquisitive Greyhound has morphed into an unbothered “guard” dog. She is truly amusing in how she positions herself as if she will guard your life but then will quickly doze off into sleep that even a hurricane couldn’t disturb.
She is very obedient and appreciates all of the affection she can get. Toys can be of interest, especially if it’s a ball but her most favorite thing is to steal her neighbor’s toy although this is becoming less frequent as each week passes.
Drinking water isn’t her favorite thing but we compensate that by adding some in her kibble. She is very content when left alone enjoying her comfort of her kennel.
Lacey is nothing like I expected but is everything I’m grateful for when training Greyhounds. Her personality will have you head over heels in love with her in no time!
Lacy has finally realized how great she is! Each week encourages this sweet girl to socialize and she’s friendly with everyone she encounters. She’s doing much better with sharing her toy ball, but she gives a little watchful side eye as if to say to tear up my toy! She remains calm in in abrupt noise disturbance. Napping is her preferred pastime and will occur anywhere with a cushioned surface. Sleep is not an area she lacks experience in. Her inmate trainer says that Lacy is truly an amazing girl. She says Lacy is calm and attentive. She has a soothing ability when times are stressful.
What a catch Lacey is! Her inmate trainer says that trying to be Lacey’s #1 fan is pretty impossible when Lacy is so incredible. She says that Lacy has such an enjoyable energy and adapts well to most situations. Snacks are a top priority in Lacey’s life and she doesn’t discriminate against any treat, but peanut butter will win her heart every time. Playtime quickly turns into nap time after a good game of catch. She’s a professional and likes to show off her skilled accuracy. Lacey tends to enjoy her solitude after social interactions.
Lacey’s inmate trainer says that Lacey is super smart girl! Her inmate trainer says that there’s much more to Lacey that’s yet to be revealed and she can’t want to see what it is.
Another week has come and gone already. Lacey remains her sweet, playful self. She continues to be content and happy. She loves a ball like no other toy. She’s doing well with playing with the other dogs. A little snack can easily persuade her into doing what needs to be done. She’s an expert level relaxer especially when her inmate trainer is doing mundane tasks of the day. She can be a little nosey… errr inquisitive from time to time, but the alertness just shows her adorable side.
Oh, how sweet the days are in the life of Lacey! She loves to start the mornings off with playtime after breakfast. Now that she’s more comfortable, she likes to greet her neighbors, gossip, and mingle before nap time. It’s exhausting being a socialite. Her inmate trainer says that they have karaoke sessions and Lacey naps right through. Lacy is also a “foodie”! She never misses a meal and has an appreciation for the finer treats!
Lacey’s inmate trainer says that this sweet girl never ceases to make her smile. She says that Lacey shows a little more of her personality every day and it only makes her more lovable than she already is! She has a personality unlike any other dog she’s ever trained. She blends in well with social interactions. She loves to play ball, which happens to be her favorite pastime. Napping is an absolute must while coordinating her busy schedule. Lacey can be a bit like a queen in that she’s all about you one time and the other time she might not have time to acknowledge you when you’re calling her name. Her inmate trainer says she can’t help but laugh at Lacey’s antics.
Lacey has a personality like no other! She’s adjusted really well to her new environment and gets more comfortable every day. She thinks it quite rude when other dogs swipe the toys out of her mouth. In truth, we’re a little offended for her. How rude! She loves playing ball so her inmate trainer uses a ball during training to keep it fun. Her inmate trainer says that Lacey is a sweet sociable girl, but enjoys her quiet time.
Lacey is adjusting nicely to her new environment. She’s becoming more sociable, but she enjoys her personal space in her kennel. She has a new found love for balls. She loves to play catch and just lights up at the opportunity. She loves to nap and if she could read she’d absolutely curl up with a book. Her inmate trainer says that she’s having a great time with this sweet girl.
Lacey has slowly become comfortable and content in her current residency. Upon arrival, she maintained an alert and observant disposition. She kept a keen eye on everything going on around her the first few days. Now she is friendlier and very inquisitive . Some of Lacey’s free time is spent “visiting” with the fellow neighbors and other dogs. She also likes to watch them from afar.
As this week concludes, Lacey has relaxed quite a bit and enjoys moments of peace and quiet while her trainer gives her plenty of affection. She welcomes pets from a anyone. Lacey is a kind, sweet cuddly girl and her trainer is looking forward to learning more about her during her training time at the prison.
