Townie Is Heading Your Way

Townie has handled his transition very well!  His inmate trainer says that he’s very loving and happy.  He never meets a stranger and saying Hi to everyone is second nature.  He does a great job with his commands!  He loves squeaky toys and playing catch.  He likes his meals served with a bit of water and in the summer he enjoys having a fan blow on him.  His inmate trainer says that she has truly enjoyed her time with this sweet boy!

Graduation Is Around The Corner

Townie is doing great!  He’s responding really well to his commands!  He’s still ironing out the “sit” command, but his inmate trainer says that’s she’s proud to report he’s making great progress! He’s a little slow with the “jump” command, but they’ll continue to work and build his confidence so that it’s fun for him. His inmate trainer says that she’s having a great time training this sweet boy.  She believes that some family is going to be lucky to count this guy as a family member! 

Running Through The Commands

Townie has been doing so much better this week with his commands. His trainer has been running through them several times a day. She said he is still as sweet as ever with such a mild temperament. She said training can be challenging at times, but his basics are pretty much down pat.

Townie is a playful boy. He doesn’t run much, but he loves to play with toys being thrown back and forth. Townie is so handsome and such a gentleman. Anyone will be lucky to adopt him.

Lucky Boy

Can you believe we’re a little past the half way point?  Townie’s sitting on command these days!  His inmate trains says that Townie has a wonderful personality that you can’t help but love.  She says his favorite part is getting loved on!  His inmate trainer says they plan to continue going over commands to brush up on his response times, but she believes he’s going make a wonderful pet for some lucky family! 

Half Way To The Finish Line

Townie’s inmate trainer says that they are making progress with commands!  She says that Townie is a smart cookie, and tries to see how many times she’ll ask him to do something before he complies.  She thinks he may be placing bets with some of his friends to see how long he can hold out.  

Townie’s inmate trainer says that she believes Townie is going to make a wonderful pet for some lucky family.  She believes that he’s going walk around steeling hearts wherever he goes.  

Loving Boy

Townie is a very loving boy. His trainer said he has no aggressions that she has found. He is a very happy dog and is also very quiet. She has yet to hear him bark. Training is coming along. He knows hurry, let’s go, kennel, release and wait. He is slow to respond to some of the other commands, but his trainer is working very hard with him. Townie is a sweetheart and you can’t help but fall for him. Only 6 more weeks…

Working For The Goal - Forever Home

Townie is working on a book called “How To Work Cuteness To Your Advantage”.  His inmate trainers keep interrupting to work on things like: sit, stay, let’s go, down, stay, and leave it.  He’s working on teaching his inmate trainers to dish out treats and give him pets.  He thinks it’s adorable to watch his trainer gush about what a great job he’s doing and what a good boy he is.  He’s working on a lesson plan to see what he can teach his trainers next and that might be good chapter for his new book.  He’s really enjoying his training days and is looking forward to this new forever home thing he’s heard the humans speak of. 

Prepare To Lose Your Heart To Townie

Townie has been enjoying his training week.  He’s been working on challenging his inmate to teach him new things.  He seems to get a kick out of holding off on responding to a request, then following through in his own time.  He loves to be around people and will prance around looking cute till he gets all of the attention he feels that he deserves.  His inmate trainer says that he’s super sweet and loving.  Prepare to lose your heart to this cutie! 

Adjusting To Retirement Life

Townie is an extremely sweet boy. He wasn’t very interested in eating his food the first night, but what a change from where he came from. His training team feels he will train easily. Townie caught on quickly to a few of his commands already. He knows hurry, let’s go, kennel, release and bed. Townie’s trainer is looking forward to the time she gets to spend with him over the next 10 weeks. More updates to follow.
