Ruby on Her Way

Hello, everyone!

Ruby here again. I still have been doing really well on my commands and am looking forward to graduation this week! I can’t wait to go to my new adopted home. I will miss my main trainer so much – he is always worried about me and checking on me to make sure I am okay and having a good time; I will never forget that guy!

The other human that trains me has been brushing my teeth regularly and I am starting to get used to it. It really isn’t that bad after all! Plus, the toothpaste tastes like chicken!

This will be my last blog that I will write in here. I am thinking about starting a Twitter account when I get a new home… we will see!

Please make sure that I go to a good home, and most importantly, don’t forget that I love popcorn!

That’s all, folks – thanks for giving me a good trainer and sending me to a wonderful home. See you soon, forever family!

Greyt Addition

Swap Week has arrived which means Ruby spent time with an alternate inmate training team. They work on commands and check to see how the hounds do away from their primary team during this time.

Lilly’s alternate trainer says that Ruby is an amazing girl with a loving personality!  She loves attention and does great with all of her commands!  At Show and Tell she got all of her commands except “leave it”.  Her alternate trainer says that it was really his fault as she was rewarding Lilly for the “here” command and dropped part of the treat and didn’t realize it until Lilly was eating it and “leave it” was already given.  So, not really Ruby’s fault who can turn down run away kibble!

Ruby is outgoing and playful.  She loves free time to explore and visit with all the humans.  Her alternate inmate trainer says that he believes Lilly will make a great addition to her forever home!

Ruby is Ready!

Hello everyone!

Just in case you don't remember, my name is Ruby (hehe). This week has been pretty normal, nothing really that different going on in my life. I know my commands and my trainers make sure that I don't forget them. Sometimes I get bored, but ultimately I aim to please. If my trainers are happy, then I will be too. I'm starting to get a little bit excited, because graduation is coming up soon. I will be taking my class pictures and all. I will miss my trainers, but I'm really excited to be going to my new home and meeting my new family. I hope they like popcorn! I want nothing but to please them and give them lots of happiness. It's been nice sharing with all of you; see you soon forever family!

Love,

Ruby, your precious gem!

Dazzling Every Day

"I love Ruby!" is the first thing her trainer wants to say this week about this little beauty! Her training is going so smoothly, and they've been practicing commands off leash this week. She never ceases to amaze her trainer! When he takes her out to run around in the big yard with her fellow pups, she really enjoys flying all over the grass. And once she's done, she goes straight to her trainer.

Ruby is going to make her forever home happy every day she's there. Her trainer hopes and knows that she will bring as much joy to your lives as she has to his!

Your Precious Gem.... Ruby

Hey everyone! It’s me Ruby. I think my name suits me well. It’s a precious gem, and I am very precious! This week has been loads of fun for me. I have been working very hard on my commands and I think I’m doing very well with them. My trainer says I need more work on the “stay” command, because I get a little distracted at time. There are a lot of fascinating things going on around me, like smelling those yummy treats that make my mouth water. I am getting better at “staying”. I want to please my trainer. He’s been working so hard with my over the past 6 weeks and I want to make him proud.

That’s all for this week. Oh, one thing I forgot to mention….I love POPCORN!!!

It's My Birthday!!

This week was a blast! Ruby did very well, getting all 10’s on her commands, except “down”. That’s because she hasn’t been introduced to it yet. LOL September 7th was her birthday! A whopping 2 years old! She got to hang out with her trainer watching the Georgia Bulldogs demolish Murray State. Ruby also had a Kong with peanut butter and numerous special treats on her special day. It was a fun-filled day!

Ruby is finally coming out of her shell and starting to become a little playful. She enjoys people and all the attention she can get. She’s a real sweetheart!

Dazzling Gem

Hey guys! Ruby is coming right along! They had their first show and tell this week, and she absolutely dazzled her trainer. For the commands that he has taught her so far, she did really well. Just a few more commands to learn, and practicing the duration of holding those commands, and she will be ready for graduation in no time. She's also learned her feeding routine and is coming along great all around. Ruby's going to make her forever family so happy!

Soaking Up All The Love

Ruby has had a great week! Her inmate trainer says that she’s progressing wonderfully.  She’s picking on commands and got to run in the yard this week.  She enjoyed getting to open up and spin her paws!

Ruby loves attention and affection.  She’ll soak up all the attention you’re willing to give.  She’s doing great with her commands!  She’s got most of the commands down pat and continues to work on “sit,” “down,” and “stay.”  Her inmate trainer says that she knows that Ruby will have them all figured out soon enough.

Master of Heel

Week two and Ruby is moving right along! Leash-walking is going well and her ‘heel’ is awesome. She’s young and curious and loves to explore her surroundings. So far Ruby seems to be enjoying herself at Jenkins. Her trainer can’t wait until she has nailed her commands so that he can share the news with all of you! Ruby is a smart girl and this session is bound to be a blast.

Settling Right In

It’s early in the session and Ruby is doing just dandy! Her trainer hand-fed her this week to help build a bond of trust and he also introduced her to the brush and toothbrush. She took to both of those just fine. He’s started going through a few of the commands and she seems to be a quick learner. Ruby has settled in very easily to her new surroundings, and her trainer can’t wait to see her run in the big yard!

Til next time!
