A Joy To Train

Ozzie and his trainer have continued working on his commands this week.  His trainer said Ozzie has been so attentive and compassionate and it has been wonderful.  He is a very loving dog.  Ozzie has come a long way since day one.

Ozzie is just now learning to play with toys and it is such a sweet sight to see.  He loves tennis balls and water.  His trainer said that he is still shy around some new people and not a fan of the shiny floors, but has improved a lot.   Ozzie has really been an utter joy to train.

Ozzie could not have been a better or more loving dog.  He is not aggressive when it comes to the other dogs or around his toys.  At times it is hard to hold his attention but his trainer feels when he gets home it will be different.  Ozzie is truly a very loyal laid-back dog.  His trainer said he is not a barker, but is very aware of his surroundings and that might be due to his shy timid nature.  Ozzie will be greatly missed.

Gentle Fellow

This week Ozzie’s trainers are continuing to work on his commands.  He is doing great but is a bit stubborn when it comes to heel.  It will be okay.  They are going to strive to have him know it just as well as the others in no time.  Ozzie’s spirit is very high… he continues to come out of his shell and loves to play with tennis balls!  He does play well with all of the other dogs and loves rolling in the grass during his early morning potty break.

He is still getting used to the shiny floors and big crowds, but he has come a long way.  Ozzie continues to show love and dedication to the bond he and his trainer have.  He is very smart and is ready to go to his forever home.  His trainer thinks he would be awesome around kids and will make a very handsome reindeer for the holidays!  Ozzie is a very loving and gentle fellow.

Tennis Pro

Ozzie loves any ball that he gets the chance to play with, but tennis balls are his absolute favorite.  He isn’t very treat motivated, but the chance to chase after a tennis ball will get Ozzie to do just about anything. Besides that, Ozzie doesn’t play with many toys.  He is more laid back and prefers to relax. But bring out the tennis ball and it’s game on!

Ozzie is friendly and outgoing, but prefers quality time one-on-one to being around a large group of people.  He loves going outside and getting chances to run; that is when he is really in his element.

Best Friend

Ozzie is the true definition of a man’s best friend.  His trainer says he is the best dog that anyone could ask for.  He still loves his toys, and loves to play first thing in the morning.  Ozzie’s trainer had some personal sadness this week, and he was right there by her side bringing her comfort and happiness.

They have continued working on his training this week, and he has mastered every command but heel.  His timidness is continuing to disappear as time goes on.

A Total Pro

This week has been very exciting for Ozzie and his trainer!  Ozzie has overcome his fear of the stairs and climbs them like a pro.  He is also overcoming his timidness more and more every day. When it comes to training he is not especially food or treat motivated, so teaching him commands takes a bit of persistence.

He loves the training room, and his favorite time of day is early mornings.  He has started playing with the other dogs when they go outside, which is a big step for him as well.

Blowing Bubbles

Ozzie is such a delight. He is most playful early in the morning. He is still a little shy, but is also very silly. He likes to stick his snout all the way to the bottom of the water dish and then blow bubbles. He isn’t fond of any toys yet except for a Kong filled with peanut butter. He loves being outside with the other dogs, just trotting around and taking everything in.

His training is coming along very well. He has mastered “Heel” and “Here” and is working on “Sit” this week.

Catching Some ZZZs with Ozzie

Ozzie has started coming out of his shell this week and becoming more brave.  He is still a little reluctant on the stairs, but has been making great progress.  He is eating more in the morning but is still a little bit of a picky eater.

He enjoys laying on the big fluffy beds or sitting and watching some quiet TV, but dislikes loud play time or being crowded by too many of the other dogs.  He is a chill and quiet guy who prefers quiet one-on-one time over large groups. Ozzie and his trainer have been working on “Sit”, “Stay”, and “Heel”. Training is going well overall, and is improving as he becomes more outgoing and confident.

Who's Got Time for Breakfast Anyway?

Ozzie’s trainer is already calling him one awesome dog! He loves to run and play in the mornings, so much so that he isn’t much interested in breakfast. He eats very well in the afternoons however. He is always excited to go outside and always ready to run, not just in the mornings.

Ozzie does prefer quiet time to loud groups so far, but he is very excited about everything he’s gotten to experience already this week.
