Peppermint Lover

Dixie loves her belly rubs and will paw at you to get you to continue. This week she and her trainer worked on “Which Hand” the treat was in. She did great! They also worked on “High Five” and she is doing good on that as well.

Dixie is very playful first thing in the morning. She also is a clean freak. If she sees you drop trash she will pick it up and hold it until she is asked to “Give” or “Drop It.” Just think what a help she will be around the house! She loves walking around while holding her favorite toy.

Dixie just found out what peppermint tastes like and she absolutely loves it. She will do anything you ask just to have a little piece. Another trainer showed Dixie her reflection in a mirror and she was so cute sniffing and playing while looking at herself. Who is that beautiful girl I see?

Dixie is spoiled. She likes to have ice in her water and doesn’t like to drink without it. She loves crunching and chewing the ice.

Loves Attention

Training is still going well.  Dixie loves attention from anyone willing to give her some.  She loves playing with
her little blue dragon and tennis ball.

Dixie is doing great with her commands.  She has mastered most of her basic commands and has learned so many extra one too, “Drop It”, “Give It” and “Bang Bang” just to name a few.

She loves to run and play with Luke and Jo Jo.  This week the trainers decided to bring a ball outside to play with.  Dixie and Luke loved it. They played together for about 10 minutes, until they were totally wore out.
Dixie gets along well with other dogs when playing.

For The Love Of Peanut Butter

Dixie’s training is going well.  She gets really excited for peanut butter and will just about anything for it.  She is a friendly and playful girl.   She loves running and getting her ears scratched. These are her 2 favorite things.

Dixie has mastered all but one of her basic commands.  She will continue to work on “Jump” and should know it before too long.  She has managed to learn extra commands as well… “Bow”, “Give It”, “Drop It”, “Bang Bang”, “Shake”, “Kisses”, “Show Me Love” and “Sit Up.”

Hugs & Kisses Please

Dixie’s training is going great.  Over these last couple of weeks her trainer has really seen her personality shine through.  She loves to “Hug”, it is where she will put her head face down on your chest or legs and just sits there wanting to be loved on.  It is too cute!  She also loves “Kisses.”  Dixie now knows “Bang Bang,” once she is all of the way down, say “Bang Bang” and she will play dead.  They are still working on “Shake” in both the sitting and standing position.  She will “Shake” while laying down. She’s a playful and loving girl and any family will be lucky to have her.

Peanut Butter Lover

Dixie is doing great with her training. She knows almost every basic command already. Dixie is learning to “Shake” but will only do that while laying down. Silly girl! Her trainer said she is doing better with her toys and doesn’t mind other dogs around while she is laying down. She continues to play and her trainer works with her on the commands and she seems to respond better with peanut butter instead of treats. Dixie was a little shy when Ms. Patti came to check on them last time but she should do fantastic next time. I guess she had a little stage fright. LOL

Getting Along With Others

This week Dixie and her trainers did 15-minute sessions in the training room. At first, she would not sit, but they learned that she will sit but she likes to do it on her travel bed. Silly girl.

Dixie is starting to play with toys. She loves balls, her Kong, and a little blue rabbit, but one of her favorite’s seems to be a purple rubber rooster. Dixie is getting along well with the other dogs.

She did have a play date with Chewy and Bendy and did really well! Dixie enjoys her food with a little warm water and mixed really well. Can you say spoiled? LOL

Cuddles And Kisses

Dixie is adjusting well in her first few days here.  She is starting to play with toys and she does love balls!  Dixie is super sweet and loves to cuddle and give kisses.

Dixie started training with a couple of trainers after taking a few days to settle in.  She is working on Bed, Here, Let’s Go, Stay, Leave It, Down, Wait and Release.  She knows Kennel and goes in without any trouble.  She also has been doing well with Let’s Go and Here.  She can do Heel but she doesn’t know she is actually doing it.

Her trainers are looking forward to the weeks ahead with Dixie.
