Fun-Loving Boy

Over the last ten weeks everyone in the program has enjoyed seeing Rico come into his real character. When he first arrived he was somewhat shy and unsure. But, as their time together has progressed, he has shown just how fun-loving and playful he is. He can also be stubborn and strong-willed, but he really has come a long way.

Rico’s leash walking is much bette. At times ,when he becomes very excited, he tends to pull more than normal. He is a huge fan of drinking water and food is a very large motivator. He also loves fruit.

Rico is always alert to his surroundings. Loud noises do tend to scare him. His favorite toys are those that produce high pitch squeaks and balls of all sorts. Remember, he is a great soccer player. He plays hard and loves a challenge.

Rico is such a loving and affectionate dog and he loves to receive attention and a good rubbing at any time your down for it. His trainers have really enjoyed working with him as he has become ready for his forever home. They love him and are so proud of his accomplishments.

Full Of Compassion

This week Rico has continued to show his compassion between his trainers and those around him. He has played well with other dogs outside and wore himself out running with them.

This past Wednesday, Rico and the others participated in the compound’s Christmas Parade. Rico did very well walking next to his trainer at attention for all to see, even with his little Santa hat on.

Rico continues to practice all of his commands and other tricks with both his Primary and Secondary trainer. His trainers are excited to spend the remaining time with him and watch Rico fully grow into his skills.

A Real Joy

Ricos trainer cannot believe this training session is almost over. She has really enjoyed working with him. Rico can be strong willed at times, but with encouragement he gets it together. Food continues to be a large motivator. He has started to be more at ease in the evenings and enjoys going on play dates with his secondary trainer.

Rico has really started to show his outgoing/playful side. He loves tennis balls and pushing around the large nerf ball and playing doggy soccer. Rico is very fun loving and has done well with acclimating to the many changes in the dorm.

He continues to do great with training. Rico is a real joy to be around and his trainers are so happy to see all of his greatness in their last two weeks.

Spunky And Full Of Love

Rico has really excelled this week. He is quick to please and always eageto perform for treats. He has continued to be loving and very welcoming to attention and praise.

While on the play field Rico began to play with the tennis ball. He seemed to enjoy chasing it and pawing it around. Rico continues to be spunky and full of love. His trainers are so proud of all he has learned.

Happy To Please

This week Rico and his trainer have continued to work on his commands. Rico is doing amazing. The only basic command he is slow to respond to is the “Stay” command. Rico does have a long list of extra tricks though, that includes “Say Your Prayers” and “Roll Over.”

Rico continues to be happy to please and is always alert to his surroundings. He is doing so much better with his leash training. He is more playful outside and has started playing with the big nerf ball.

Rico is a big fan of fruit and yogurt pieces. His trainer is so proud of his accomplishments. He is so sweet and loving. His trainer has very much enjoying her time with him.

Love Magnet

Rico’s character is coming out more and more as each day passes. He has been more playful and silly. Rico continues to be a love magnet. He seems to think he is a lap dog. If you sit with him and rub his belly or face he will slowly inch his top half of his body onto you.

He continues to be very food/treat motivated. His trainers have been working on his silent commands, (hand signals) and he is doing great. Rico loves attention from everyone. He even likes to “Peek-a-Boo” with anyone he has the chance to.

Rico love his naps. His trainer warns he snores and drools. LOL She is very proud of his accomplishments and can’t wait to see all they will get done as he becomes ready for his forever home.

Very Loving Boy

As this week comes to a close his trainer is happy to report Rico’s doing much better with his leash walking. He continues to be amazing at his basic commands and is very quick with them. He really likes the meatball treats, but you better have a gas mask handy. LOL

Rico is very loving and continues to think he is a lap dog. He has started to really play with toys and he will chew it till it squeaks no more. Rico very much enjoys chilling out on his bed or the large dog pillows. He will even drool and snore.

Loves Praise And Attention

Throughout this week Rico and his trainers have continued to stay sharp on their basic commands. Rico is always ready to please and loves praise and attention. He knows several extra commands such as “Bang Bang,” “Roll Over” and “Show me Love.” They are continuing to work on his leash training and he is doing much better and improving each day.

Rico has also started to play with his toys. He is very rough with them, if you are not careful he will chew them until they no longer squeak. He was allowed to run and play for the first time and he was so cute. Rico continues to be laid back for the majority of the time. He is curious about things now and likes to walk around. He is doing great and his trainers can’t wait to see everything they will learn together.

Attentive Boy

During this week’s training, Rico has really shown off just how smart he is. He knows seven of his basic commands and two extra commands, “Bang Bang” and “Show Me Love.” He is one of the most loving and affectionate dogs his trainer has known. Rico is always eager to please and he gets very excited when you praise his success.

Rico isn’t very sure about toys right now, but his trainers figure in time he will love them. Rico is attentive and nosey, he likes to be in the know. His trainer is very proud of him. He is such a fast learner and she is excited to see all what they as a team will accomplish.

Happy, Loving Boy

During the first week with Rico, his trainer has witnessed just how happy, loving and receptive he is. On his first day he was very unsure of everything, especially the loud noises, but he settled in quickly.

Rico is very relaxed and laid back. He loves attention and being rubbed on. He is so very smart and eager for praise and attention. He has learned three of his basic commands… “Hurry,” “Kennel” and “Bed.” His trainer is very excited to see and help Rico get ready for his forever home.
