Lazy Goofball

This past week has been good with Mikey. He is just a joy to have and his trainers hate to see him leave in a few days. It helps knowing he is moving on to a much happier and healthier life.

Mikey is just a lazy goofball. He is sweet, gentle and loving. He will do anything for peanut butter. He knows all of his basic commands,. Jump is still a work in progress. He has a few extra tricks up his paw as well.

Mikey really doesn’t care for the doggy beds, he would rather lay on the cool floor. He is super lazy and would love nothing more than to sleep the day away.

Mikey’s trainers are really going to miss him. Have fun with Mikey!

Goofy Boy

Mikey has had another good week. He is doing fine and is as smart as ever. He will do all commands, for treats and he loves peanut butter. He actually hasn’t mastered “Jump” yet, but maybe soon.

Mikey has gotten where he follows his two trainers everywhere they go. When he can’t see them, he will look for them until he finds them. It is so cute! It has taken Mikey a while to open up and trust, but now that he has, he is such a sweet, lovable pup.

Mikey is a sweet boy and enjoys the company of other people as well as the other dogs. When he plays he is a goofy one…he runs and jumps on his toys, then picks them up and plays. Mikey really has come a long way and his trainer is happy to have had the time to work with him. Sadly, his trainer knows it will soon come to an end, but understands he will have a happy and better life in his new home. You will love him as much as his trainer does.

Loves To Chill

Mikey has had a really good week. His trainers have been working with him on “Jump.” It’s a work in progress. Slow and steady. Mikey is super lazy. A true greyhound. He loves to lounge just about anywhere.

He doesn’t mind people being over him while lying down. His trainer thinks he just needed to trust them and the corrections given, have definitely helped. He is doing so well. He is such a sweet boy and lovable too. Mikey gets a little goofy while playing. He loves this one bear toy they have. You can’t leave it with him overnight because about 2:00 a.m. all you will hear is him playing with it. Squeak. Squeak!

His trainer can’t believe her time with him is almost up. She hates to think about it, but knows he will be going to a wonderful home.

Enjoys Attention

Mikey is doing fine and has had a good week. He is very playful and gentle with the other dogs and people. He definitely enjoys attention and loves it from anyone.

All in all everything is going fine. His trainer hates their time with Mikey is now coming to an end. The time spent with Mikey has went by way too fast. Next week is swap week!

Mikey has mastered all of his basic commands with the exception of “Jump.” He has however learned four tricks so that more than makes up for his refusing to “Jump.”

Happy and Healthy Boy

Mikey has had a great week. He is super smart, even though he can be bull headed at times. He knows all of his basic commands, only having a problem with “Jump,” but his trainer will continue to work with him on that.

Mikey is still being his gentle sweet self. He enjoys being out and about around both people and the other dogs. He is super playful and enjoys going outside during the morning and evening when it is not so hot.

All in all everything is going good and he is happy and healthy.

Choir Member

Mikey has had a pretty good week. He has come a long way since he arrived at Pulaski. He is very sweet loving and lazy. Mikey enjoys being outside in the morning and evenings because it is cooler out. He will jump in front of his trainer and nudge her, it is so cute and playful. While inside he does play with the other dogs and toys. Mikey would rather lay on the cool floor than on one of the comfy dog beds. Silly boy!

Mikey likes to sing too. A few of the inmates will get together and make noise and he’ll join right in with the choir. It is adorable! His training is going well and he knows all but “Stay” and “Jump” as far as his basic commands go. He has learned “Shake,”, “Show Love” and “Bang-Bang” for his extra tricks.

A Light Sleeper

Mikey is a super smart boy. He knows all his basic commands and some extras. You can’t help but love Mikey. His cute face will get you every time.

Mikey is a light sleeper and is not a fan of people leaning over or being near his bed while he’s trying to sleep. His trainers are working with him and he’s responding very quickly to the training.  When he’s out of his bed, Mikey is the sweetest and gentlest pup you’ll ever meet.

A Huge Baby

Mikey has had a good week. He knows most of his basic commands, but needs to keep improving on them. He enjoys playing outside. He ran for the first time with his trainer on Thursday and boy did he go! He plays very well with the other dogs.

Mikey is loving and gentle … a huge baby really. He’ll lay all over you and loves to be around dogs and people. Mikey can be very lazy too and would lay around sleeping all day if his trainer would allow him to do so. Mikey is not a big fan os space sharing or people reaching over his bed while he’s in it. He’s just trying to explain that it’s his space and comfort zone. His inmate trainer plans to work with Mikey to show him that space sharing is a good fun thing to do!

Mikey has mastered all but three of his basic commands. He is still working hard on “Heel,” “Leave It” and “Jump.” He has also mastered two extra commands, “Shake” and “Show Me Love.”

Mikey is a morning pup. He is very playful and sweet as can be. His trainer is so thankful to be working with him.

Big Mike

Mikey has had a great week and has really opened up a lot.  He loves to play, both with toys and with the other dogs. His trainer can’t wait until he gets the chance to run around the play yard. He loves going out for his potty breaks and she can tell he is totally ready to take off.  He also has a real lazy side though, and loves to lay around and take long naps.

Mikey has been learning his commands pretty quickly, so his trainers now are going to focus on making sure he is following them consistently.  He knows what the words mean, but he doesn’t quite understand the concept of having to work for the treat. He thinks he can just sit there and look cute and get a treat. With a face like that, can you really blame him?

Gentle Guy

His trainers have decided to call him “Big Mike” or “Mikey”.  He may be big, but he is ever so gentle.  He is settling in nicely and everything is going well so far.  He’s had no problems with any of the other dogs or people, he seems to enjoy everyone.

Her first impression of Mikey is being really laid back and lazy, but the day his trainers wrote their weekly summary, he opened up for the first time, running around in the yard and chasing after a ball.  They are so looking forward to the next 10 weeks watching him open up even more.
