Forever Family Sounds Greyt!

It has been a very exciting week for both Caesar and his trainer.  It is bittersweet knowing this is his last week getting him ready to go to his forever home.  Caesar is still very playful and enjoys his toys and affection.

His trainer has continued to go through his commands to keep him sharp.  Caesar is still very food and treat motivated.  Caesar is very compassionate and the true meaning of man’s best friend.

His trainer said at times Caesar is still slightly startled when asleep. Some greyhounds sleep with their eyes open, so it’s best to say his name before approaching him on his bed, to make sure he is awake.

Caesar will be greatly missed by his trainer.

Sweet Boy

Caesar is doing very well with his training, although like many greyhounds he can be reluctant to sit sometimes.  He is very affectionate and loves getting attention.  He is always ready for playtime.

Caesar received a new blanket this week that he absolutely loves.  This big boy is doing fantastic and his trainer knows his new family is going to love him as much as she does.

You've Come A Long Way Caesar

Caesar is a greyt and big boy. He is doing amazing with both his basic and extra commands.  He is very food and treat motivated.  He enjoys playing and running with the other dogs.  He has become more open to other people coming up and petting him without shying away from them.  Caesar has come a long way since he arrived a Pulaski. He gets very excited with toys and loves a Kong filled with peanut butter and marshmallows.

His trainers are continuing to work through the commands to keep him sharp. Graduation is right around the corner and I know you are excited to meet your new addition.

Naps At The Top Of The List

As the weeks dwindle down at Pulaski, Caesar’s trainer is still amazed at the amount of joy and love she has for this big boy. His trainers continue to go through his commands and extras, which he is doing an amazing job with. He loves his tricks and treats and is still very motivated by food. He will let you know when it’s breakfast and dinner time.

Caesar’s playful spurts are more and more common as he continues to come out of his shell. He’s still not a fan of loud noises, but has done so much better since he first arrived. Sleeping and naps are a favorite of Caesar and he loves to be swaddled with his blanket. He’s a great companion and is always willing to give and show love.

Speak

This week Caesar and his trainer have continued working on mastering commands. His best times for training are around 7:15 in the morning and 2:30 in the afternoon. He has become more vocal, so she is using this as an opportunity to teach him “Speak”. Food and treats are still a big motivator for him. He loves to play in the yard after every potty break and in the training room before they start working on commands.

Playful Caesar

This week Caesar has come out of his shell more and more. He has become even more playful and vocal with his trainers and is playing well with the other dogs. They are continuing to work on commands and extra tricks.

Caesar still enjoys being groomed, as well as his midday naps. His favorite time of day is feeding time; he is eating a little fast so his trainer has been adding water to his dish to slow him down.

Overall he is doing great, and his trainer is really enjoying working with and caring for him.

So Much Fun

Caesar has been having a great week.  He is incredibly treat motivated, and also loves the praise he gets from successfully following a command, so he is learning very quickly.  His best training is done early in the morning, as he prefers to lounge in the afternoons. He loves squeaky toys and grooming is his absolute favorite time of day.

He plays well with the other dogs, and sometimes forgets how much bigger he is than the rest of them.  This week has been a lot of fun for his trainer, and she is so glad she gets to work with him.

Snoring Caesar

Caesar’s trainer says that this week has been amazing and that he is excelling with his training. He has already mastered “Sit”, “Down”, “Bed”, and “Stay”. Caesar is incredibly food motivated and loves chewing toys and treats. He is at his best with his commands first thing in the morning.

He also loves taking naps, and his trainer says that he snores like a grown man when he’s deep asleep. He loves being pampered and is very good when he is being groomed. He is a very smart and loving dog who adores a good rub down and affection from all who will give it.

Calm Caesar

Caesar has become more alert and playful over the past week, but he is still overall a calm dog who enjoys lounging and napping.  He loves it when his trainer brushes and grooms him. He shares his toys easily with the other dogs and shows no signs of food aggression.

He is a very smart dog and is learning his commands very quickly.  This week Caesar and his trainer have been working on “Sit” and “Bed”.

A Big Sweet Boy

When Caesar leapt out of the truck, his trainer was so excited to see her next trainee. He was ready to explore his new surroundings and begin training! Within 48 hours he’d already started to learn commands, including “Kennel” and “Bed”.

He loves to have his ears rubbed, and tries to run and play in his sleep. Caesar’s trainer is so excited for everything that is to come over the next 10 weeks.
