Loving & Loyal

Knox is a great dog!  He is loving, playful and laid back according to his trainer.  He is on a schedule and knows that after early morning potty, it’s Chow Time.

Knox learned the “Spin” and “Bounce” command this week.  His trainer said he is treat motivated and will do any trick or command as long as he is rewarded.  Knox gets so excited when performing his command “Which Hand,” especially when he is asked if he is sure… it is so cute!

He loves the staff and he is so friendly.  His trainer said he loves playing with all dogs. Everyone love Knox.

Knox and his trainer have worked on “Leave It” this week.  He had a bit of a melt down and was very vocal when the trainer put treats in his bowl and then asked him to “Leave It.”  Silly boy!  He is a sweet and very attentive dog and will be missed so much!

Which hand?

Knox is a loving dog who is very playful.  He has spurts of energy throughout the day.  Knox is so eager to learn new tricks just to get treats.  This week he has learned to find which hand the treat is hiding in by using his paw.  He’s doing quite well with this one. More yummy treats for Knox. It does help that he is very treat motivated. Training works best first thing, as Knox seems to be a morning person, I mean dog.

Knox loves to lounge on the big beds and knows his schedule, especially feeding time.  He loves playing with the other dogs but can play rough at times, so muzzling when outside with other greyhounds is good practice. He loves playing with toys and chasing balls outside.

Knox is such a smart boy, he knows his basic commands well, so she will continue to practice them and keep working on bounce, give and spin. Graduation time is coming fast.

Tug of War Champ

Knox is a very loving dog who is most energetic first thing in the morning.  He is very treat and toy motivated, so he loves training and chances to do his commands.  He also loves to play with the other dogs, especially tug of war.  Knox is great around all of the inmates and staff, as he is super friendly and loves any and all attention.  He is easy to groom and loves affection.  Overall he has done really great in this session. and his trainer is going to miss him.

A Schedule to Keep

Knox is a very loving dog who is incredibly energetic in the mornings.  He loves playing with his toys and with other dogs, and is very treat motivated.  He knows his schedule and knows exactly when it is feeding time.

Knox didn’t enjoy the rain they had this past week, and would go “hurry” outside as quickly as he could.  He knows all of this commands and several extra tricks, so now his trainer is working on getting him to respond to each command more quickly.  He is so eager to learn anything as long as there is a treat in it for him.  Knox loves the big beds and to be covered up with his fluffy blanket.

Like Clockwork

Knox is such a great dog! He is always energetic and loves to play first thing in the morning. He knows his schedule very well and knows when he is going to get to eat and when he will get to play. He is very treat motivated and trains well at any time of day. He has mastered every command except “Stay”, which they are still working on, but his trainer is sure he will have it, by graduation day.

Knox loves to play and gets into the games that the dogs play outside on the big yard. He hasn’t quite mastered proper doggie etiquette on the playground just yet. He shares toys very well and loves to play with other dogs. He also loves to just chill and relax on the big comfy beds.

Awesome Knox

Knox is a very outgoing dog who is very eager to learn. He is so excited first thing in the morning and loves to run and play with the other dogs. He loves lounging on the big beds in the play room and is very good about sharing them with another dog. He loves attention and affection from all of the staff members.

He got a new toy this week and wanted to keep it all to himself, so his trainer is working with him on that. He is doing fantastic with all of his commands, but is a little slow with stay so they are working on that as well.

Having a Blast

Knox’s trainer says she is having a blast with him.  He is such a loving dog who loves to cuddle as well as play with all the other dogs.  He loves to run everyday when they go out for their second potty break, and he is SO FAST!

He is such a fast learner, it only takes him a couple of times of reviewing a command and he’s got it down.  He is a little reluctant to “Stay” because he wants to go everywhere with his trainer, but he is improving on that quickly.

Tug of War

Knox is coming out of his shell and has opened up into a very happy, social dog. He loves playing with his toys. He loves playing tug of war with the other dogs and then relaxing on the big beds when he’s done. He gets very sleepy around 9 pm, and if his trainer doesn’t get him in his kennel early enough he’ll fall into a deep sleep in another part of the room.

Knox loves running outside with Delta and Duckie. He is very treat motivated and such a fast learner. This week they have been working on “Shake”, “Heel”, and “Paws Up”. He has already mastered “Sit”, “Down”, “Wait”, “Release”, “Bed”, and “Kennel”. Next week they are planning to work on “Stay” and “Speak”.

Nothing Annoy-ing About Him

Knox is turning out to be a very sweet dog who loves playing with others and shares his toys very well.  His favorite friends to play with are Duckie and Angel. Knox is quite the laddie’s man! He likes to play and rest on the big fluffy beds, and loves to be petted. He also loves chow time.

He is very attentive to his trainers and is very treat motivated (especially with peanut butter and marshmallows!)  He is a very quick learner, and is currently working on “Bed”, “Sit”, “Down” and “Heel”. His trainer says he is overall a chill and awesome dog.

Eyes on Me

Knox is a very loving dog who is adjusting quickly to life at Pulaski. He gets along well with all of the other dogs and especially loves to play with Bella and Rosita. When he’s not running around or playing he likes to sleep on the big fluffy beds and eat peanut butter out of his Kong.

Knox is very attentive to his trainers and pays close attention to what they want from him. He has already learned his name and the “Kennel” command. He is very good going up and down the stairs, as well as getting a bath and his nails clipped.
