Sweetest Girl Alive

Here we are at week 10 and the session is almost over! Bessy’s trainer is really going to miss her. She is such a great dog and he is so excited for her to be making her final transition to her forever home. Bessy is going to love to finally be settled down and not have to leave anymore, and especially will love to be with her new family. You guys are going to fall in love the second you see this beautiful girl. Her trainer knows that she'll love you as well, because Bessy is just so sweet and loves everyone. She is going to make such a sweet, loving addition to your family.

One More Week...

Bessy is a very gentle, loving hound with these beautiful brown, soulful eyes that beg for your attention. It only took her a couple of days to warm up to her swap week trainer. After that, they were like two peas in a pod.

Bessy did very well at show and tell this past Thursday and is soon to make someone a very proud owner of a Second Chance Greyhound. Have fun and enjoy sweet Bessy.

Can't Catch Me

Bessy is the most laid back dog ever. She’s down to do any commands or just walk around with you at your side. Bessy is happy doing whatever, whenever, as long as she’s with you.

Bessy loves running of course. Duh. She’s a greyhound and she’s the fastest one on her team. After she’s done running she loves to rub her neck all in the grass. It’s so funny.

Bessy is smart too. She knows all her basic commands and learned them so quickly. Bessy is ready for her next phase… Forever family. Her trainer knows you will fall in love with this sweet girl.

Endless Supply Of Love

Bessy’s inmate trainer says that Bessy has had a fantastic week!  She loves to lay around with her feet in the air.  He says that she’s a smart girl who loves toys.  She’s active and playful when it comes to being around anyone who is willing to interact with her.  There’s no limit to the love this girl can give!

Her inmate trainer says that  Bessy has been a joy to train and he can’t wait to see what she learns next

Quite The Sweetheart!

Well guys, Bessy is the sweetest dog ever. Everyone falls in love with her the second they are around her. You can feel that sweet vibe she puts out and you’re hooked! Her trainer knows Bessy will have the same effect on you as well.

Bessy enjoys being around other dogs. She plays and gets along with all the dogs. Bessy is also very smart too! She knows almost all of her basic commands already. She loves being scratched behind her ears and on her neck too. She will tilt her head at an angle. It’s too funny.

Bessy really likes toys. Basically anything that squeaks. You are going to love this sweet girl and Bessy is going to love you too!

Attention Please

It’s been a fantastic week! Bessy loves affection and enjoys being around anyone who is willing to shower her with attention.  Her inmate trainer says that this girl will fill your heart with love.

She knows most all of her commands with hand signal and verbal cues.  Heel and down are still works in progress, but he’s not worried he knows she’ll have these figured out soon.  Catch Ya next week!

Gonna Love Bessy!

Bessy is doing great!  She’s starting to open up more and enjoys being loved on by everyone.  She’s a playful girl who loves to be out and about.  Her inmate trainer says he knows that anyone who meets Bessy will love her.

She’s got a firm paw on:  hurry, let’s go, kennel, release, wait, here and bed.  She’s still working on: heel, sit, stay, jump and leave it.  Her inmate trainer says he knows she’ll have these figured out soon enough.

Roaching Queen

Hi Humans!  My name is Sweet Bessy and I’m a cutie pie.  I’m doing this retirement training thing and it’s pretty cool.  Lately I’ve been learning this thing called “sit” and my inmate trainer dispenses a treat.  I’m trying to figure out exactly what I need to tell him to get him to dish out the treats.  He’s learning.  I’ve already taught him to give me a treat when he says the words: hurry, let’s go, kennel and bed.

My human trainer says that I’m soooo cute when I “roach” -  that’s what he calls it when I lay on my back with my feet in the air.  I call it sleeping and relaxation, but hey, whatever makes the dude happy is good with me.  He says I’ll be going to a forever home once training is complete.  He says there are soft beds, treats, and lots of love headed my way.  Sounds pretty perfect to me!

Relaxing into Retirement

This second week has been a great week of training and loving for Miss Bessy. This beautiful brindle has started to learn that being loved on all day is pretty fun! She's a little shy and enjoys her kennel time, so her trainer is taking it slow to make sure she gets the best experience possible. Bessy is sure to keep growing and relaxing into the retirement life. Some hounds take a little more time to get used to new things and Bessy is one of them. I’m sure you’ve heard the old saying “Slow and steady wins the race.” She's such a wonderful hound and her trainer is looking forward to seeing her personality blossom. See you next week!
