She Lights Up The Room

Soon Maggie May will be leaving. Her trainer is sad to see her leave but is happy for her to start her new life. As her trainer is writing this, Maggie is laying on her bed with her pillow, looking up at her with those big brown eyes. She is such an awesome dog. They have been working extra hard this week on “stay”. She has gotten five steps, which is a milestone. She knows all her basic commands and very treat motivated that the sky is the limit wit her training. Maggie made her way around the dorm saying her goodbyes. Everyone is going to miss her. Maggie definitely lights up a room when she walks in.

Miss Maggie May

Maggie’s inmate trainer says that it’s hard for her to think about this training session winding down.  She’s really excited that Maggie is going to a wonderful forever home, but is going to miss her tremendously.  She says that out of all the dogs she’s trained Maggie has been her favorite.  She does well with her commands and likes to roach when napping.  Her inmate trainer says it’s adorable to look over and see her cute little feet in the air.

Little Shadow

While writing this week’s summary, Maggie’s trainer realized she has one more week and her little shadow, Maggie May and after that, she will be leaving for her forever home. She said Maggie is an amazing dog . Her personality and little quirks come out more and more every day.

Maggie is a sweet girl. She has never been aggressive about anything. She does have a teddy bear she will take with her when she’s walking around and bring it to wherever she plans on laying down. It’s too cute. Maggie is going to make you fall in love the second you meet her.

Happy Girl!

Maggie is doing amazingly well with her basic commands.  She doesn’t mind receiving commands from other people and complies with no problem.  She’s still just as playful as ever and everyone loves to watch her antics.  Maggie’s inmate trainer says that Maggie is a wonderful girl all the way around.  She has no doubt that Maggie will quickly find a special place in the hearts of her new family members!

Come Find Me

Maggie continues to do well with her commands. At times her focus is distracted, but she is extremely treat motivated and that will get her back on track quickly. Her one command Maggie has trouble with is “stay”. Her trainer takes a step away and Maggie has to take a step toward her. LOL They will keep working on that and I’m sure she will get the hang of it in no time.

Maggie likes to play hide and seek with her trainer. They both have a lot of fun finding each other. She’s a sweet girl and her trainer can’t wait to see what else in her personality comes out.

"Show Me Love"

Maggie’s inmate trainer says that Maggie’s unique personality comes out more and more everyday.  Lately she’s decided to protest the word “no”.  If her inmate trainer tells her “no” she’ll walk away going upstairs to her secondary trainer’s room as if to tell on her saying “Ms. Primary trainer is being soooo mean to me.”  Maggie will walk back to the training room and just look at her primary trainer as if to say.. “there, you’re in for it now I told on you.”  She says she can’t help but laugh at Maggie’s antics.

Maggie is quite spoiled.  Since it’s gotten so hot, she has her own fan.  She’ll put her pillow in front of the fan and lay down with her nose aimed toward the fan.

She’s progressing very well with her commands and learning some extra commands as well. She can get bored easily so keeping them fun is key for this sweet girl.

Bubbly Personality

Maggie’s trainer can’t believe a month has passed already. She said Maggie continues to be a joy to work with. Her bubbly personality shines all day every day. She feels Maggie would be perfect for a family with children. She is a sweet girl.

Maggie is very attentive and she is doing excellent with her training. She will do her commands for her secondary trainer as well. Maggie is eager to please and very very treat motivated. She knows most her basic commands well and is working on a couple extras, shake and kiss.

Maggie Is Amazing

Maggie Mae is just amazing! She loves everyone she meets and loves giving kisses. She continues to train well. She wants to please her human and catches on very quickly.

Maggie is an absolute goofy girl out on the big field. She will run, but you have to run with her for a little while and then she will take off. Maggie does run with the other greyhounds, but tends to be the shy one of the group and doesn’t cause any trouble.

Maggie likes to play hide and seek with her trainer on the field around the sheds. She’s so much fun and her trainer looks forward to the week’s ahead with her.

Dorm Favorite

Maggie has become a dorm favorite instantly. She greets everyone with a wagging tail and tons of hand kisses. She is the sweetest girl! Maggie is very treat motivated, so training is moving right along.

Maggie is a curious girl and likes to know what’s going on at all times. Maggie loves to play and she has yet to meet a toy she doesn’t like. She does well in her kennel, but prefers the door to be left open, so she can go in and out. She tends to whine a bit, if you close the door. Her trainer will work on this.

Maggie enjoyed a run on the yard with her trainer. She ran until her trainer stoped running. She is looking forward to seeing what all Maggie can learn in the weeks ahead.

Black Beauty

Maggie is a curious pup. She likes to check everything out, but listens well. She does tend to get a little nervous around new things, but as long as she can investigate on her time, she is ok.

Maggie loves toys and will play with any toy you put in front of her. She is a happy girl. She is ready to play when she wakes up and enjoys playtime throughout the day.

Maggie has learned bed, kennel and here. She is learning sit. Her trainer can’t wait to see how she blossoms in the coming weeks.
