Awesome Ace!

Ace’s inmate trainer says it’s hard to believe that they’ve come to the end of the session.  He says it’s been a wonderful learning experience for himself and Ace.  Ace has been an awesome dog to work with and will be truly missed.  He’s a bright boy who loves his food and running in the big yard.

Ace knows all of his commands and didn’t have any problems passing his test with flying fur.  His inmate trainer says that he learned as much from Ace as he learned from them.  He believes that Ace will grow and prosper wherever he goes.

Aims To Please

Ace had a fantastic swap week. His swap week trainer enjoyed the time he spent with him and Ace’s desire to ALWAYS please his human. This boy is very smart. He knows all his basic commands both verbal and with hand signals.

Ace loves toys and will literally do a flip for one. He is very obedient and loving when it comes to any physical playing. This includes grabbing toys from him or just playing around with him. He is very good at “giving” the toy up too. You will not be disappointed adopting this brown eyed hound. He’s the total package.

Gentle Genius

Well, it's been another exciting week here for Ace. He has blossomed into such an awesome dog . They are about near the end of the session and Ace is such a pleasure to work with. He is very intelligent for his age and he is eager to please. The training for him has been good and he now knows all of his commands; his overall behavior is stellar. He picked up on the commands and doggy etiquette very quickly. This session with him is one his trainer will never forget, because it is such a joy to see him grow and transform into a lovable, graceful pet. Until next week; bye for now!

Cool Dude

It’s been seven weeks and Ace’s inmate trainer says it’s still all smooth sailing.  He says that Ace has an uber calm and forever lounging demeanor.   He loves to run and will play with the other dogs if they’re up for it, but it usually only last for a brief moment.  When released for free roam time, his inmate trainer says that Ace will roam around for literally 2 minutes before finding a bed to lie down in!

He says that as far as commands and obedience goes, Ace is a pet owner’s dream! He responds to commands under any circumstances and is very attentive.  He says that his only complaint is that Ace’s sit is not a very pretty one.  It looks awkward so they’re working on a more comfortable position for him.  So far, he doesn’t seem to care to change his sitting ways but he’ll catch on soon.  His inmate trainer says that Ace is a pretty cool dude with an easy going personality

A Unique Boy

Six weeks into Ace’s training has been very exciting and rewarding. His grace and eagerness grow by the day. He really enjoys his runs on the big yard with all his other greyhound friends.

Ace is a very calm and reserved boy and very smart too. His trainers said it is an honor for them to be able to work with Ace every day of the week. He learns and adapts to different things very well. By the end of the session, Ace will be a well-rounded hound for sure. It’s a sheer joy for his trainers to see him transform right in front of their eyes.

Lounge Hound

Ace’s training this week has been focused on getting him to sit properly. He doesn’t seem super confident yet in the strength of his hind legs (it’s an unnatural pose for these long-legged creatures), so his sits have been a little off-balance. He has been working really hard on this one, though, and his trainer is working diligently with him to straighten out the motion with a good, stable posture so that Ace feels confident while sitting and holding the position.

Otherwise, Ace is coming along just fine! Still no interest in toys, but he loves to run and is beautiful to watch. He is very fast for a retiree! He’s also a proficient lounge hound; he has no problem being in his kennel or on a day bed for 10-16 hours a day. His trainer still wouldn’t call him lazy, though, because he will get up and walk around. He just doesn’t mind the lounging!

Sweet Boy

It’s week 3 with Ace and it’s been a productive one!  His inmate trainer says they increased the training temp a little.  They’ve implemented grooming and teeth brushing into his daily routine.  Ace doesn’t seem to mind either.

Ace is one smart cookie.  He’s curious about everything and loves to explore.  He’s very treat motivated… kibble is filet mignon in his eyes.

He loves to run and play.  He hasn’t been introduced to toys yet, but his inmate trainer thinks he’s going to have a ball with them!  He says that Ace has a calm demeanor but likes to let loose on occasion before returning to normal.

Sibling Shenanigans

The second week with Ace was full of progress. He's learning to behave well on the leash and he seems to be getting the idea of learning how to learn. They haven't really gotten into the heavy training because he is extremely curious and getting used to everything in his new surroundings. He does a great job of acting like the two year old pup that he is. So much to do, so much to sniff!

Last week, Ace's trainer mentioned that he thinks Ace might not recognize his siblings, but this week was a different story. While they were out for bathroom breaks, he started jumping around his sister trying to get her to play when she passed him. He is the most reserved of the three littermate. Both his brother and sister have had bouts of whining at times, where Ace just lounges around without a care in the world. He's one cool dude and his training team looks forward to teaching him new things this week!

Retirement Ready

Midnight Aces’s inmate trainer says that Midnight seems to be pretty laid back.  Midnight is just over 2 yrs old which means he wasn’t crazy about racing and decided to enter into retirement early.  The guess is that he heard about couches and treats.

The first few days Midnight’s inmate trainer spent some time bonding by hand feeding and hanging out.  His inmate trainer says that Midnight seems to be adjusting well and is showing signs of being a fast learner.
