This week Mellie has been the angel is always is. She’s doing great on her commands. No resource guarding or aggression of any kind. She’s a great dog.
Mellie loves to watch the birds. She will stand and stare with her ears perked up. Her trainer is still working on he leash manners. She will stop and tell her easy. Mellie loves to play but then she’s ready for a good nap. She’s a pro at “roaching”. Mellie is an awesome girl!
Mellie had a good week. She does very good with the routine her trainer does with her when coming out of her crate, when eating and even when going on potty breaks. She will make her either “sit” or “down” and then “release” her. She’s coming along nicely. Mellie is such a sweetie pie.
Mellie loves her squeaky toys. She will throw them up and catch them. Mellis is very sociable and wants attention from everybody. She gets along with the other greyhounds, but her best buddy is Beau. They will lay on the dog beds together. Beau has even stepped over her and she didn’t even flinch. Mellie is a great pup.
Mellie is doing good and is super sweet, but sometimes when given a command, she will stand there like you haven’t said a word. Eventually she will follow thru. She is such a loving girl. Mellie is not a picky girl. She likes her food and water. Her trainer will have her “down” before letting her out of her kennel. She also has her “sit” for her meals.
Mellie loves everyone and everyone loves Mellie. Her best buddy is Beau. They will lay side by side and share toys. She has no aggression issues. Mellie tries to follow her trainer everywhere. She will tell her “bed” and “stay” and she will. Mellie is a very good girl!
Mellie knows her commands! She’s gotten shake and leave it all figured out. They’re still polishing up the heel command, but she’s got a firm understanding, she just needs to improve response time. They were in the Christmas parade and Mellie did great! She wore antlers and a plaid blanket made to look like a sweater! She did really well with the noise and extra people. She seemed to love everyone and soaked up all the attention she could get. She loves to be petted, loves her toys and really loves treats!
Before leaving the crate Mellie’s inmate trainer has her down/stay before opening the door, then putting on her leash, and finally giving the release command for her to come out calmly. Mellie’s inmate trainer says that Mellie is a sweet and loving girl whose eyes will melt your heart!
This week Mellis and her trainer have been been going through all her commands. They are working a little harder on “heel”. She can be stubborn and sweet at the same time. Mellie is easily distracted when going “hurry” by birds, people, etc. Her trainer gives a little tug on the leash and tells her “hurry” to get her focus back.
Mellie loves toys and people. She is sweet and smart. Everyone loves Mellie!
Mellie is doing great. She knows her commands, but can be stubborn sometimes. She’s sweet as pie. She gets so excited when it’s time to come out of her kennel in the morning. Her trainer will have her “down”or “sit” in the kennel until she calms down.
Mellie knows all her basic commands, except “jump”. She’s only slow to respond to “bed”. She is working on a couple extras, shake and leave it. Mellie is great dog and her trainer loves working with her.
What a sweet girl who loves everyone! During this first week she’s been bonding with her inmate trainer and working on basic commands like wait, relase, here, down, bed and leave it. Mellie is catching on really well! She enjoys playing with toys, but squeaky toys are her favorite. Her inmate trainer says that Mellie is doing fantastic already and she can’t wait to see what she learns next.
Mellie and her inmate trainer have had a great week! In typical greyhound fashion Mellie can be a little stubborn from time to time, but her loving and affectionate personality make her simply irresistible. She knows most of her commands already so her inmate trainer is working to reinforce those and to extend her hold time for each.
