Furever Friend

Epic’s last week has been very relaxed. His trainers have become very attached to him and will miss him so much. He has made a huge impression on, not only his trainers, but everyone else as well. His trainer said he is the best dog and it has been a great pleasure to watch him transform from the very timid dog he was when they first met him, to what he is now; Loving rambunctious and eager to please. They are so proud of him. Epic is now ready for his forever home.

Loyal and Loving

As Epic’s time draws to an end his trainers are feeling a little bittersweet because he really is an amazing dog. He is in tune with his trainers needs. His loyalty and love knows no bounds. He is a routine kind of guy.

Training is going great. He knows all his basic commands and a long list of extras. One of them is “catch”. He is also working on “clean up”. Epic loves leash walking and exploring. He is a goofy boy and his trainers love him dearly and are proud of his accomplishments. Epic is ready for his forever home.

Rock Enthusiast

Epic’s trainers have continued to work on basic and extra commands and he is still doing great. He is very eager to please. Epic has shown more of his goofy side. He loves to dance when he’s outside. He has a severe love for rocks when he’s outside.

Epic loves affection and attention. He is very fond of his kennel and enjoys lounging in it as well as on the large fluffy pillows. Epic is still very alert and attentive to his surroundings. He shows grand affection towards his trainers as well as those that are not in the dog program. Overall Epic is very laid back and chill. He is a wonderful boy and his trainer said it’s been a great opportunity to have the experience to teach, share and witness the amazing progress Epic has made. He will be missed.

Amazing Boy

Epic continues to amaze everyone.  His inmate trainer says that she’s so proud of this sweet boy!  He loves to play outside and is truly a goofball.  His happiness is infectious and everyone around him seems to be smiling.  He’s doing great with his commands.  They’re currently working on brushing up on his response times and following through without treats.  WHAT?!  No treats?!  It’s pretty tragic, but he’s taking to it pretty well.  His inmate trainer says that she feels fortunate to be training this sweet guy!

Soaking Up All The Attention

This week Epic’s trainer has been working on quickness of response times on his commands and extras. He is very treat motivated. For the most part Epic enjoys lounging around and basking in all the love and attention he receives daily.

Epic loves to play doggy soccer and his trainer said it is the most adorable thing to watch. He gets so excited, he actually vibrates with excitement. Epic is a sweet boy and his trainer can’t believe how fast this session is flying by.

Soccer Star

Epic is eager as always to perform his commands and extras. He has continued to come out of his shell. He’s more playful with toys and not as shy around others. He enjoys playing with the other dogs, but enjoys his alone time too.

Epic for the most part is a very chilled and laid back greyhound, but when he plays, he plays hard. His trainers recently introduced him to the large soccer ball and he loves playing doggy soccer. His trainers are very proud of all of Epic’s accomplishments.

Bunny Hopping For A Ball

This week Epic and his inmate trainer have been working on his response times to commands.  He’s doing great!  All of his commands are showing improvement!  He loves to play with the other hounds.  His favorite squeaky toy is a redbird.  The redbird has undergone surgery to repair it’s squeaker, but is now fully recovered and doing its job.

Epic’s inmate trainer said that watching him bunny hop after the big blue ball was the funniest thing ever.  When Epic gets really excited he spins with happiness.  He’s a chill dog who is borderline lazy.  His inmate trainer says that he’s an amazing dog and they love having the opportunity to train him.

Silly Boy With Toys

Epic is really coming out of his shell!  He’s more than happy to greet people and is such a goof ball when it comes to his toys.  They’ve been working on his epic proportion to nest in his kennel.  He loves to bunch up all of his blankets and toys under him then go to sleep. He’s food and treat motivated which makes training fun.  He’s doing great with training and is eager to please.  His inmate trainer says that she can’t wait to see what Epic learns next!

Eager To Please

This week has been quite adventurous.  Epic has handled his change of address very well!  He’s starting to come out of his shell and taking the initiative to approach people.  When he gets scared he’ll hide behind his trainer. He’s treat motivated and eager to please.  He learns very fast and has the most adorable goofy side!  He hops like a bunny when he plays and his inmate trainer says it’s a true hoot to see!  His inmate trainer says that she’s excited to see how Epic does in the days to come.

Learning The Ropes

On Epics first day, he received his bath with no problems. He really enjoyed his ears being cleaned, and didn’t mind his teeth being brushed. Epic was unsure and unsettled when he arrived, but has become more relaxed after a few days. Loud noises do tend to startle him, but he’s improving.

Epic loves to play with toys and on the field outside. His trainers are really proud of his quick learning. He is treat motivated and his trainers can’t wait to see what all he accomplishes over the next nine weeks.
