Pure Joy

This week is Miss Lizzy’s last week with her trainer, so he made sure to make it a great one. He did all the commands several times this week with her, to prepare for graduation - she is so smart and cute! She learned all of her commands and behaviors so quickly, and her trainer is so glad that he got to meet this hound. She made him so happy just by being around him. He laid around on the floor with her and watched a few movies the last couple of nights before it was time for graduation. He is going to miss this hound and hopes you’re ready for love!

Who's The Lucky One?

This week was week 8, swap week. Her trainers said Lizzy was an exciting dog to have for the week. She is a very playful, full of energy greyhound and just a joy to have around. Once she got used to her swap week trainers, Lizzy took on an awesome display of affection and love.

At show and tail this week Lizzy did great on all of her commands. Her trainer said she was a cool dog to have and she is going to make a great pet for a lucky adoptive family. Are you the lucky one?

Anything for a TREAT!

This past week has been great with Lizzy! She is doing great with her commands and she gets along with everyone. She loves to lay around on her bed and loves to run. She loves treats and is just such a loving dog all around. She will do ANYTHING for food! Her trainer can’t wait to see what is next to come with Lizzy – til next week!

Ready To Impress You

This past week Lizzy did amazing at show your tail. LOL She did all of her commands for her trainer. She had a lot of fun at playtime this week outside. She played with the little ball, rolling it all over the yard.

Now that Lizzy knows all her basic commands, her trainer hopes to teach her a few extra commands, so she can impress her new family. Can you guess which ones?

A Lot Of Love To Give

Lizzy knows all her basic commands with the exception of “down”, which her trainer said she understands the concept. Now to put it all together. Lizzy loves to run and play with the other dogs. She loves toys too. Her favorite thing is treats. She loves them ALOT.

Lizzy is such a sweet and fun girl. She has a lot of love to give. She loves people and loves to be loved on. Her trainer can’t wait to see what the next few weeks have in store for them.

Dreamy Eyes

This week was a week of great improvements with Lizzie. She knows all of her basic commands well, with the exception of stay and down. Her trainers are going to work real hard on those two this week.

Lizzy loves to know what is going on around her at all times. She has this look, when she sees something that she likes or wants. You will have to wait and see it for yourself in about five more weeks. She’s a hoot!

Lizzy loves to play with toys. She got a new toy this week. It’s a pig and she loves it to pieces.

Ray of Sunshine

This week with Miss Lizzy has been so amazing! She learns really fast. Her trainer began teaching her sit this past week, and she picked it up so quickly. Her trainer is working on seeing how long she can hold a sit. Once she gets that one down pat, then they’ll move on to learning down.

Little Miss Lizzy is so smart and outgoing, and it’s just been so great for her trainer to spend time with her. Her trainer is so excited to have her and can’t wait to tell you about her next week. There’s so much to do and so much fun to have with the amazing Miss Lizzy!

Having The Time Of Her Life

It has been a wonderful week with Ms. Lizzy. Her training team played the “heel” game with her. This is where they stand across from each other and ask Lizzy to heel beside them. They also worked with her on “sit”. She is doing great!

Lizzy was introduced to toys this week. Af first, she didn’t give them the time of day, but now she is having the time of her life when she plays with them. Lizzy is an amazing girl and her trainer is fun working with her.

Good Girl Lizzy

This week with Miss Lizzy has been amazing! She has opened up a lot more since she arrived; last week she was hesitant to eat her food, but now she gobbles it all up. That's always a good sign that they're settling in. This week they worked on her coming out of the kennel and then going back in; they also worked on heel and bed. That's all for now, but check back next week and see what she picked up on then!

Lizzy The Little Lady

Hello everyone!!  Ms. Lizzy is a very beautiful black hound and a very smart one too.  When she arrived at Jenkins she got a bath and she really enjoyed it.  Later on she got to walk around off leash, checking out her new surroundings.  She has adjusted well to her temporary home and her trainer will start on commands very soon.

Lizzy’s leash walking has improved tremendously in only a few days.  Her trainer is looking forward to the weeks ahead with Lizzy the little lady.
