Special Girl

Tara is a great companion and very loyal to her humans. She is very observant and is always in tune with her surroundings. She has acclimated well to her temporary home at the prison and her trainer feels she will do the same in her forever home. Tara’s trainers have enjoyed their special time with a special girl. She has worked very hard to become ready for her forever family.

Very Proud Of Tara

Tara has become much more open and affectionate.  Her inmate trainer says it’s been a wonderful journey watching Tara come out of her shell.  She does a great job with her basic commands.  She responds well with both verbal and hand signal cues.  She has a whole list of extra commands that she knows well.  She’s absolutely adorable when she responds to:  Bang Bang, Show me love or Go Home!  Her inmate trainer says that she’s proud of this sweet girl.

Swap Week Has Arrived

Swap week has arrived!  Tara’s temporary inmate trainer says that she was blessed to have received Tara for the week.  The week went by smoothly.  She did a great job responding to commands and they had fun hanging out together.  She loves her kennel and doesn’t mind hanging out there.  Her temporary trainer says that Tara is a sweet girl who is easy to be around and she brings a little happiness wherever she goes.

Great Companion

As the week comes to an end Tara’s inmate trainers are happy to report that Tara did much better with show and tell.  She was a little nervous, but managed just fine.  Her inmate trainer said she was so proud of Tara! Tara loves her kennel and fluffy mat.  It makes her feel safe and happy.  At times she’s a goofy mess with her toys.  Her inmate trainer says it’s a true delight to see Tara carefree and happy while playing.

Making Lots Of Progress

This week has been all about working on basic commands.  Tara’s responding much faster to each command.  She can still be shy with new people.  She just seems to want to take a little time to get to know a person before placing a truck load of trust in them.  Her kennel is her favorite place to be. She’s beginning to show her playful side with other dogs.  Tara’s inmate trainer stays that it’s been amazing to see Tara emerge from her shell. She said that she very proud of this sweet girl!  She’s made so much progress!

Blossoming Personality

This week Tara’s inmate trainer introduced more distractions while training, and she is doing much better keeping on task, even with the extra things going on around her. Tara is a happy girl.  She enjoys being in her kennel or lounging on her comfy pillow.  She’s fallen in love with a monkey toy and tries to bury it so it’ll be hidden from others.  Her inmate trainer says that she’s super proud of Tara!  She can’t wait to watch the sweet girl’s personality continue to emerge!

Pampered Pup

Tara is doing much better with her commands.  She can be a little slow responding sometimes, but her inmate trainer plans to work on improving her response times.  She’s learning to accept treats after she completes a command.  She can be a little shy with new people.  Her kennel is her safe haven and she doesn’t mind relaxing there.  She’s learning to play with toys when she thinks no one is watching.  Her inmate trainer says that Tara is becoming quite the pampered princess with her own pillows and personal fan.

Princess Tara

Tara is doing very well this week with her commands. She knows most of her basic commands well. She is slow to respond to sit, down and stay. No worries though. Her trainer feels she will have them figured out in no time.

When it’s time to train, Tara likes to go to the training room. She knows the big pillows are there, so she automatically makes her way onto one. Silly girl. Tara can be stubborn at times, but she is doing great and her trainer loves her.
