One Handsome Boy

Lenny continues to show his love of treats and training. He will go through every command he knows at once, so his trainer is mixing up the order in which she asks them. He does know hurry, let’s go, kennel, release, wait, here, sit down, shake and show me love. Lenny is slow to respond to heel, stay and bed, so his trainer is going through those commands more often to work on his response time. Lenny is a smart boy, so he should have them figured out in no time.

Early Riser

Another exciting week with Lenny!  He and his inmate trainer continue to work on basic commands .  She says that Lenny is very dramatic when he’s finished training. He flops over with a giant thump as if to say he’s exhausted  (dramatic much?)  He seems to enjoy rising early and taking in the quiet stillness of the morning.  His inmate trainer says that they are working on multiple things and Lenny is  quick to pick everything up!

Time To Get Up!

Lenny is getting more comfortable in his new surroundings and is showing his fun, loving personality. His tail is always wagging. Lenny’s basic commands are coming along, although he is very treat motivated, he tries to do every command at once, so his trainers are having to switch them up.

Lenny isn’t a fan of his kennel. He will whine, but does settle down after a bit. Lenny is very vocal in the morning. He will let you know when he needs to go outside and when it’s time for breakfast. He’s an early riser. His trainer said overall he is an awesome boy and she looks forward to their time together.

Tail Wagger

What a goof ball Lenny is!  When he sees you it’s like you’ve been gone forever and it’s a long awaited reunion.  His tail wags like crazy and he gives a short little song of happiness.  You can’t help but feel happy with a greeting like that!  He’s started hoarding toys and as soon as another dogs puts down a toy he is helping them clean up by taking the toy.  What a silly Boy.

Lenny is showing great progress with his commands!  His leash skills are improving and he’s catching on to things very quickly.  Treats make him especially happy and his inmate trainer says that his enthusiasm for life is contagious!

Happy Boy!

Energetic and happy describes this cute boy!  He hasn’t yet found a toy he doesn’t like.  He and his inmate trainer have spent the last week getting to know each other.  Lenny can forget his size, but he’s such a gentle giant you find yourself thoroughly in love.  He enjoys being near humans and receiving attention.  His inmate trainer says that she plans to start training soon and she can’t wait to see how he does!
