Sweet Kaida

We recently took a drive from my home near Lake Lanier to Griffin, about 2 hours south of me.  We were staying with my parents for the weekend.  Kaida and Lola shared the back of my SUV without a scuffle or complaint.  She jumps right into the car and settles down for the ride.

In unfamiliar territory, this little girl was terrific!  There was a lot of exploring to be done, nose to ground and eyes to the sky looking for squirrels.  She's quite the huntress for those furry little critters, but calm on the leash.

The stairs up to our sleeping quarters are uncarpeted and she did just as well on those as she does on my carpeted stairs.

She's never attempted to get onto the couch or bed, but she love a nice soft dog bed, as witnessed here relaxing with my Lola.

Won't you open your home and heart to this sweet girl?  She's such a love bug!

Little Kaida

Kaida is a petite little thing, but not remotely delicate!  She loves squeaky toys, the more the merrier in fact.  She likes to pounce and squeak and shake them around, then finds a bed to rest after a good few minutes of play.

She's great on walks.  I live in a large neighborhood and we walk a mile every morning, then multiple shorter walks throughout the day.  She and my greyhound girl walk side-by-side on my left, which makes our walks quick and easy.  We have met two medium sized dogs and she was very good with them, but I certainly would not trust her with a small dog or cat (see squeaky toys above).

She goes up and down stairs without thinking about it.  I work from home and she spends most of her day upstairs with me in my office.  She kennels well, where she's fed, and sleeps without waking in the kennel in my room.

She is a happy, sweet girl.  Shows no signs of separation anxiety or sleep startle.  She attended both the Georgia Steeplechase and my monthly Meet and Greet and accepted every bit of attention she could from adults and the numerous children of all ages.

If you don't have a cat or small dog, she will be a great fit for you.  How can you resist the pretty face and big 'doe' eyes?  She's a love!

Kaida is a very smart gal!  She's lovable, sweet and oh so cute and petite.  You can't go wrong with Kaida.   She loves any attention you will give her, but especially loves her belly rubbed.   She is the complete package.  She loves to play, run, relax and be loved on.  What more could you ask for.  Her trainers said she has made an impact on their lives and will miss her sweet personality.

Take a peek at Kaida and I know you will fall head over heals in love with her!

Swap Week. No Problem.

Swap week is here!  Time to swap Greyhounds and training teams!  The teams get to experience working with different Greys and the Greys spend some time with different handlers giving commands.

Kaida’s alternate inmate trainer says that he couldn’t have asked for a better pup for the week!  He says that she’s a sweet girl who loves people!  She followed through with all of her commands with no problems and didn’t seem to mind working with the new training team.

He says that Kaida’s new family is getting a truly awesome little girl!

Brains and Beauty!

Hey y'all! Kaida is having so much fun here with us, and whoever adopts her, you are so lucky to have such a sweet and fun dog. She got up in front of the Second Chance ladies and did all of her commands very well. She loves to be loved on and she is doing so well here at the program. everyone here is going to miss her so much!  Kaida loves to do extra commands and run around and play with toys.  She is very outgoing and is going to be your next best friend for life.  You are going to love this beauty!

Gimme Some Lovin'

Kaida loves to play, relax, and receive attention!  She has recently learned the “belly” command and has mastered it!  She does well with humans and the other dogs and loves to be loved on!  Actually, she sees a human and believes they were created to give her attention… she may be right!

Her inmate trainer says that she will do anything for food!  This makes training a bit easier… a yummy reward for a job well done.  She calms easily after playtime seemly understanding that there’s a time for shenanigans and a time for relaxing.

The Perfect Companion

Kaida is such an amazing dog. She is so sweet and adorable, and brilliant to boot. She learned all of her commands extremely quickly and is working on extra commands, like belly.  There'll be even more to come. She is such a great runner also. She loves being on the big yard and playing with the other dogs. Whoever is lucky enough to get her, you really could not get a more awesome companion and furever friend!

Sunshine and Surprises

Kaida is doing great with her commands and is doing that learning thing very quickly! Her trainer has taught her "belly," and she had it down in a day. She is doing well with everyone and with other dogs. She loves playing and she loves to be loved on. She loves food and toys and will do anything for them! And I mean anything. She is great with everybody in the dorm and she will make a great part of any family she goes to. She is very laidback and easy to calm down, and is just so easy going. She's such a loving greyhound and super fast learner. I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to teach her extras of your own your first week of having her! She's just that special.

Will Work (Train) For Food

Kaida is a playful girl who is very food motivated when it comes to training.  She calms easily after playtime and loves attention!  Her inmate trainer says that Kaida enjoys being around her humans and gets along well with the other dogs.

Kaida’s inmate trainer is proud to report that Kaida knows most of her commands with verbal and hand signal cues.  She’s doing really well with the “leave it” command and continues to show progress every day!

Sweet Little Explorer

It's week 3, and Kaida continues to bring her trainer such joy and laughter. She improves on every command every day. The Second Chance ladies came on Saturday to evaluate the progress of the dogs and training, and Kaida did very well. She loves to explore off leash, always wagging her tail, and she returns to her trainer every time she's called. Her trainer said that he cannot express the joy he experiences every morning when he wakes up and she's already awake, tail wagging and waiting to start their day together. If you are looking for the perfect pet, then Kaida is the one. She will bring you and your family years of joy, laughter and love.

Cha Ching! Jackpot!!!

Whoever adopts Kaida really hit the jackpot!  She is beautiful, sweet, smart, friendly and obedient.  She already has a basic grasp of all the commands and it's only week two!  She loves to roam the dorm meeting and greeting everyone with a friendly wag of her tail.

Kaida also had her first experience with stairs this week and did very well.  She is very gentle with toys, always giving them up when asked.  She likes to play a game of fetch too.  If you roll a ball across the dorm she will return it right at her trainer's feet.

Kaida loves to chill in her kennel or lay her head on her trainer's lap while he reads.  She is going to make some family very, very happy.  Can it be yours?

Little Dragon

This is Week 1 for Kaida, which means "little dragon" in Japanese. She is the cutest, most lovable little dragon her trainer has ever seen. I don't know if you're familiar with greyhounds, but their long, wild tails make them look like mythical creatures!

Little Miss Kaida shows no signs of anxiety or stress at her new home. She is taking to her commands very well and she has a lot of personality, and she already loves playing with toys. She enjoys being loved on and gets along with all the other dogs in the dorm. Her trainer is really going to enjoy training her over the next 10 weeks. She is will definitely be the love of someone's life wherever she goes.
