All Around Superb Hound!

This week with Bodey has been a wonderful experience! He spent some quality time with his swap week trainer and Bodey showed himself to be an extremely friendly dog (of course!). He is always excited to see people and he is so intelligent. He loves doing his commands and receving attention from others, and is gentle when interacting with people and other dogs. He is playful and sweet and just the best guy around!

Bodey is a healthy dog and didn't mind his swap week trainer taking him to the spa (teeth cleaning, nail clipping and coat brushing, oh my!). His new family is gonna go NUTS for this guy!

Birthday Boy!!

What a fun and exciting week with Bodey!  He recently celebrated his 4th birthday on August 2nd.  Happy birthday Bodey!!!  I know they spoiled you rotten on your special day.  He got to go into the training room to play for awhile.  His trainer said he got out a toy squirrel for Bodey to play with, and instead of playing with it, he carried on a conversation (barking) with the squirrel.  It was too funny. I wonder what he said.  Needless to say, Bodey had an awesome birthday.

Bodey has made more friends.  He loves to run around and play with Sandy and JD.  They get along great.  Next week is swap week, so Bodey will be going to another trainer to see how they do taking commands from someone different and check for separation anxiety.  His trainer thinks Bodey will do just fine.

You made the right choice adopting Bodey.  He will be very happy to have you as a pack leader.

Best in Show

Do you have the toys ready? Do you have the treats ready? Because Bodey is ready to perform for you to get those toys and treats! This guy loves to please. His tail is constantly wagging all the time because he is just so darn happy. I hope you've got the car running, because Bodey is ready to jump in and go on an adventure with his new family! This guy hops up on stuff and handles stairs like a champ.

Right now, Bodey is just relaxing inside his kennel with his head resting on his favorite pillow. This guy is so full of love. He communicates well and is a fantastic listener who responds well to his name with perfect, sweet eye contact. This beautiful guy is the best in show!

What A Ham!

Welcome back for another update on Bodey.  He definitely showed out during "show and tell" this week.  He went through all his basic commands without a hitch.  He loves to perform in front of people.  What a ham!

Bodey is very treat motivated, so training has been easy with this boy.  After a 30 minute training session, it's play time.  He loves to run around the big yard playing with his buddies.  Everyone asks, "who is that greyhound behind the mask?"

After playtime and training, Bodey is ready for nap.  He will go into the kennel and lay his head on  the pillow. made just for greyhounds.  You couldn't ask for a better dog to add to your pack.

A True Champion

Another awesome week with Bodey. He did more stair training and went up and down them like a a champion he is.  During show and tell Bodey ended up with all 10's.  No surprise there If he makes a mistake on a command he automatically corrects himself.  He's a very smart boy.

Bodey has a new friend named Andy.  They enjoyed a little game of tug of war with the squeaky toys. His trainer said it was so cute to watch them get along so well.  Bodey is learning an extra command, "speak".  He is catching on to it very well.  As smart as he is, his trainer thinks he can learn just about anything.  Check back next week to see what Bodey has been up to.

Bodey the Bodacious!

Well, hello! Fancy seeing you here! Bodey has put on a great show this week. His trainer has discovered that Bodey LOVES soccer. He is such an athlete. Here at Jenkins, Bodey enjoyed playing soccer with his pink jolly ball. He was so energetic and happy, running around with his trainer for 20 whole minutes! He even stayed close to his trainer the whole time, bringing the jolly ball to his trainer.

Bodey has been working on his stair training and has no problems with it. He was understandably nervous at first, but that went away quickly. Bodey is a fast learner and he climbed those stairs like a champion mountaineer. He is moving forward and up, becoming the best dog around!

Peanut Butter and Kibble... Yum

Bodey worked on “down” and “jump” this week!  His inmate trainer says he had fun teaching these new commands to him.  Bodey did an awesome job and is one sharp boy.  He’s becoming more active and takes fun with him wherever he goes. He is absolutely in love with kibble and peanut butter.  His inmate trainer puts a pea-sized amount of peanut butter between two pieces of kibble and Bodey is super appreciative.

Bodey’s inmate trainer says that Bodey is a joy to be around and is sure to brighten the lives of his new forever family.

Bodey the Prodigy

Bodey has been a great ball of energy so far! His trainer takes him out to the big yard to run and he has a great time - Bodey is one of the fastest dogs he's ever seen! You can really tell Bodey loves to run.

He has done well with the other dogs and is doing the "sit" command on his own already! It's like he's been doing it for a while now. He has made a couple of new friends and played a lot with Atlas and Jiggy inside the training room. He was a true gentleman during play time. He loves squeaky toys and is learning the command "give" very quickly.

Bodey enjoys eating peanut butter, especially when it's spread on one of his treats. The command "leave it" is another important one to work on, and he has been working diligently on it. It helps him not to pick up objects off the ground, like old food, trash, or anything dangerous.

Well, that's all for now - Bodey will have more for you really soon, so be sure to check back!

Who's That Behind The Mask?

Hello everybody!  Bodey has been practicing his leash walking and the name game this week and seems to be having a grand old time learning new things.  Bodey will be 4 years old on August 2nd.  He is very smart for his age and oh so cute!  You can't resist this masked boy!   He is enjoying his kennel time and treats.  He will be learning some basic commands in the coming week, such as:  "here", "stay" and "kennel".

When Bodey's trainer fist met him,  he jumped up and greeted him with a lick on the face.  Whoever adopts Bodey is gonna love this guy to death.  Get ready for the world's sweetest dog and his name is B-O-D-E-Y!
