Simply Irresistible

Hi Humans!  Crystal here to say that I’m excited about the next part of my adventure!  This is my last week in the training program.  I know all of my commands, and “down” is my favorite.  I love to go running in the big back yard.  I think that everyone I meet should show me attention. I mean I am irresistible.

I like hanging out in my crate because it feels safe there.  My inmate trainers have learned how to give me treats. I hope to teach my forever family the same very soon!  I also feel like you should know that scratches under the chin and behind the ears are pawsome!

Beautiful Gal, Crystal

Hey everyone! it’s swap week and Crystal’s swap week trainers had a great time with her. They said she is very sweet and loves all the attention she can get. She did well on all of her commands, except “sit”. They worked with her on it and now she’s a pro at it.

Crystal’s swap week trainers got a kick out of her on the big yard. All the dogs run together and take off, but Crystal cuts straight to the left and just trots along all alone in her only little world. Crystal is great at leash walking and playing with toys. Her trainers were glad to have spent the week with her.

Ray of Sunshine

Hello there! Update time from Crystal’s primary trainer. She has shown improvement on all of her commands. She has really been thriving and especially so during week eight of training. She finally mastered the sit command – her trainer knew she would! It just took a little bit of time. He is so proud of her, and the last eight weeks have been a total blast for them. She loves just hanging out and watching TV with her trainer. She will lie on her bed and look at the TV, and it’s almost like she understands everything that’s happening on the screen!

She makes her trainer feel so much better on the days when he is feeling down and she is a wonderful friend and dog. Crystal is always happy and in good spirits. She’s always working to get better at everything she does.

See ya next week!

I'm Adopted?!

Crystal is doing great!  She loves attention and laying around relaxing.  She’s still not in agreement with a sit yet, so they’re still working on that command.  Her inmate trainer says the he believes she’ll be doing it any day now.  She loves to walk or run around the big yard.  He says that when she runs she’s super fast and has a blast with her greyhound pals.

He says that Crystal is a very sweet and loving girl who is going to make a wonderful addition to her new forever family.

"Stay" Queen

Crystal ran with the other greyhounds this week and had a blast. She got to show off her speed. Training is going good. She is working to improve on her “sit” and “down”. They are coming right along. Her leash walking skills are very good and walking up and down stairs was not a problem at all for Crystal.

This girl knows how to “stay”. Her trainer can walk away from Crystal, appear on the other side of the room and walk around her twice before releasing her from her stay. Crystal is doing great and her trainer looks forward to the few weeks he has left with her.

Loving Lady

Crystal is enjoying the retirement life! She started to play with toys this week. She’s not quite sure what to think of them, but her trainer will keep introducing them to her.

Crystal keeps getting better and better every day with her commands. She hasn’t quite gotten “sit” or “down”, but she’s almost there. Here trainer will keep working with her and he’s sure she will have them mastered very soon. Crystal always makes her trainer happy with her willingness to learn and do what is asked of her. He said she is a very loving and playful girl. She loves running on the big yard and stretching her legs. Check next week for more updates.

All Star Gal

Hello there! Crystal’s primary trainer had an awesome week with this wonderful greyhound. She is very smart, learns so fast, and she knows all commands except for sit and down already! She and her trainer are starting those commands next week. Her leash walking is incredible and she has no problems at all!

She loves to meet new people and play; she’s so outgoing and loves attention. She loves lying on the bed and just hanging out, and is perfectly content to lounge. She handles her teeth brushing like a champ and is getting better all of the time.

She and her trainer love to play the name game – every time he calls her name, she looks at him and smiles and gets a treat! She already knows her name so well. Her trainer can’t wait to update you on her progress next week. Until next time!

A Joy To Have Around

Crystal’s inmate trainer says that Crystal is a fantastic girl who is smart and beautiful!  She knows her name and how to “heel” and “stay”.  She also knows “bed” and “wait”.  Her inmate trainer says that she picks up on things very fast.

Crystal loves to walk around and get attention.  She’s playful, happy, and a joy to be around.  He’s looking forward to seeing what she learns in the days to come!

Playful Girl

Hello once again! Crystal's primary trainer had a great week with her. He is finding that she gets a little excited when she meets new people, but she calms down quickly. She's so smart and so far has picked up on all the commands that he has tried with her! She is playful and always ready to get out and do something. Crystal is one of the most beautiful dogs her trainer has ever seen; she is so cool and laid-back. Crystal just enjoys walking around and doing what she can to make you happy - doing all her commands, letting you brush her. She loves lying around and chewing on her bone. Her trainer thinks she's going to make a great pet and is so excited to watch her progress over the rest of the session - until next time!

Chill Gal

Crystal  seems to be a calm and chill gal.  She didn’t mind getting  her bath after arriving at Jenkins.  In fact her trainer said she was kind of smiling through it all.  She has done great in her kennel at night.  No whining at all.  Training hasn’t started just yet. They are forming a bond first.  She’s a sweet girl and her trainer will update us more on her progress next week.  See you then.
