This week with Chewy has been nothing but a rollercoaster of laughs. Every day is so full of goofy moments that he is always keeping his trainer laughing. Even something as simple as watching him chase leaves around the play yard brings a smile to her face. She is hoping that he brings that same joy to his family in a couple of weeks.
Chewy’s trainer said he has become quite fond of taking her fuzzy slippers, but when she uses the “Give” command, he gives them up. He has officially mastered “Stay,” if only for a short distance. Chewy keeps eye contact with his trainer until he is given the “Here” command. They will continue working on “Heel”, while still perfecting his other basic commands.
Chewy is a great all-around dog. He has a playful nature and young bounding spirit. He is a lover and once he bonds with you he will want to always be by your side. Chewy will be truly missed by his trainer.
Chewy and his trainer have been working very hard this week on the “Stay” and “Heel” command. The “Stay”
command is pretty much mastered but the “Heel” will need a little more work.
Chewy has been such a blessing to his trainer and others during the holiday season. His goofy antics keep everyone laughing and his bounding spirit makes time go by. His trainer said when Chewy leaves to go to
his forever home she will definitely miss him, but knows he will be making his family truly happy.
Chewy is doing great and has mastered all of his commands, but it still frequently practicing “Stay”. He loves following his trainer everywhere she goes, so staying behind and waiting for her doesn’t come naturally. He’s getting the hang of it though and improving every day.
Chewy’s spirit and personality are so charming. Everyone loves Chewy!
Chewy has been at it again. His adventures never seem to stop. He will now lead his trainer to things that he wants to explore. Sometimes it’s to a comfy bed to lay down on and take a nap. Silly boy. His most active time is in the morning after he wakes up and then again before bedtime.
Chewy is still working hard to learn the “Stay” and “Heel” commands. “Stay is a tough one for him, because he loves to be around his humans. He has learned to “Speak” this week and loves to show it off! His trainer will continue to work on his basic commands to keep them polished up.
Chewy’s trainer said it has been a week of extra loving for this guy, and I don’t think he minded one bit. They continued to work on the commands that Chewy already knew, which is most of the basic commands (hurry, let’s go, kennel, release, wait, here, sit, down, bed and leave it.) They worked on “Heel” and “Stay” a little bit this week. These are a couple he needs to improve on, but his trainer is sure he will know them very well by graduation.
Chewy is a very loving dog. He has a playful and goofy side that keeps everyone smiling and laughing. You are going to have a blast with this boy!
This week has been full of laughs thanks to Chewy. The other inmates laugh just as much as she does and he has become a dorm favorite. Anything Chewy can take and run with he will. Even the remote to the TV. Everyone was watching Animal Planet and apparently Chewy did not want the channel changed.
Chewy is doing wonderful with his commands. He knows “Sit”, “Down”, “Bed” and “Stay” but he is a little slow with “Stay.” He tends to stay for just a brief second and then will get up. His trainer will be working on “Stay” and “Heel” more because they are both a work in progress. Chewy still loves any toy that is in front of him. He loves them all and it is good to keep him busy!
Chewy and his trainer have been working on Bed, Sit and Down which he has picked up very quickly. He is also getting better about giving up things he is not supposed to have. Sit has been on the agenda this week too. When Chewy goes to sit, he picks which spot he wants to sit and then sits sideways. He does tend to raise up out of the sit instantly but it’s only week two, so there’s plenty of time to work on this command.
Chewy loves playing and his trainer said that is all he wants to do. He likes any toy, but he will pick a ball over any stuffed toy if given a choice. During the upcoming week he and his trainer will be working on the Stay and Here command.
Every day is an adventure with Chewy and he continues to make people smile with his antics.
Chewy has settled in to his new temporary home at Pulaski. Chewy loves exploring everything. On his first day he discovered so many new and wonderful things… A roll of toilet paper, a shower shoe and cardboard. His trainer can’t help but be amused. He’s a silly young pup!
Chewy makes his trainer smile by always wagging his tail. He loves people and goes from one to the next to get extra loving. They have not started working on commands yet but his trainer feels Chewy will catch on quick!
