Perfect Score

This week the trainers did their own testing on dogs and themselves. Gabby got a 100 and was a good listener to her handler along with being very playful.

Gabby’s training this session has been amazing. She has even taught her trainer a thing or two. Gabby knows her basic commands and nine extra ones as well, plus she wants to learn more! She is so eager to please and will be missed.

Happy Pup

This week is Swap Week and this is what everyone thought of Gabby…

All agree that Gabby is a very happy pup that loves being by your side and wants to be loved on. She wants your attention and will give you infinite kisses. She loves everyone!

Gabby knows all of her commands but doesn’t seem to enjoy “Stay” very much. Since she is very treat motivated a few extra ones may help. Gabby’s favorite toy is a tennis ball. She will wear herself out playing with it. Get ready for unlimited amounts of entertainment from Gabby!

Show Me Love

Gabby continues to grow and learn more as the session continues. This week she has learned “touch” as an extra. She knows her 13 basic commands and a list of fun commands. It’s quite a long list….Kiss, touch, show me love, spin, bounce, which hand, high five and shake. She is always eager to train and learn more commands. She’s very smart.

Gabby is so entertaining and so much fun to have around. She makes her trainer and the other inmates smile and laugh all the time. She’s a silly, goofy girl that you can’t help but love.

Gabby Never Gives Up

One thing Gabby’s trainer has learned this week with Gabby is that she doesn’t give up, whether it is tug a war, playing in the training/toy room or even outside with the ball. Oh, and she loves soccer! Gabby will go and go until she collapses. She has started spinning on leash and she drops low to the ground and runs back and forth. She gets so excited outside wanting to play. She can get a little bratty and will grab the leash as well; but she is corrected and her trainer said it can be a bit funny to see.

All in all Gabby is a great, sweet and a smart dog full of personality and character. She loves her pillow and blanket and will mess her bed up just to get covered back up. Her trainer has figured that out with her.

Her training is going great. She loves her extra command, “Show Me Love.” If you have something she wants, even if you don’t ask, she will “Show Me Love” and will stay there… it is so cute! Gabby’s “Heel” is better and her “Stay” is getting there, but everything else she can do with her eyes closed.

Mission Impossible: Squeaky Toys

Gabby’s personality is out of this world! Give her a tennis ball and watch her go; She will entertain you. Even during training she always has a goofy side. Gabby’s trainer promises that her adoptive family will never be bored with this girl.

Gabby’s eyes are always on how to get her paws on all of the toys. Her trainer has taught her to share, but she still prefers when she can have all the toys for herself. She’s always watching her trainers and wants to please them, so she is very easy to train.

Joyful Gabby

Gabby is such a trip! She’s got the biggest personality her trainer has ever seen come through the program. Every morning she will go around to all the other dogs’ kennels to check out what toys they have in there, and claim as many for herself as she can. She loves to play games with her trainer; one of her favorites is when her trainer “sneaks up on her” and Gabby runs away at the last second. She also loves to play with the other dogs. She’s got two best friends who spin around and run together in the yard every day.

Gabby absolutely loves people. No matter where they are, Gabby thinks they need to come over and give her love and attention. When there is someone petting and loving on her, nothing else matters. Gabby brings tons of joy and happiness to everyone around her.

Lovable Little Girl

Gabby is a very playful and friendly girl that could be the best Walmart greeter ever. She’s a happy pup and training is fun with this girl. She knows hurry, let’s go, kennel, release, wait, here, sit, down, bed, jump and leave it well and needs to improve on heel, and stay. She’s working on some fun tricks to show off her skills - which hand, shake, high five, kiss and spin. She’s a lovable little girl and cute as a button!

Sharing Toys

Gabby has turned over a new leaf in her journey. Sunday she not only played with Tank, but she also brought him a toy then stood there until he accepted it. Gabby is very observant of her human and watches every move that is made. She catches on so quickly to what is being taught to her and her spirit is one of a kind. She is such a happy dog and it makes her trainer happier to see that in her.

Squeaky toys and birds are her weakness. Gabby is definitely a cuddler and a pillow and blanket kind of pup. She is very, very treat motivated and sometimes when you ask for one single command she wants to show you all of them. Gabby is doing so well on her basic commands and there are only a few that she is slow to respond to. The “Hurry,” “Heel,” and “Stay,” are Gabby’s least favorite commands at the moment but they are working extra hard on these each week. Her trainer is very happy with Gabby’s progress and loves this sweet girl.

Nap Queen

Gabby’s trainer says she is an absolute trip. She’s very playful, and not only is she cute but she knows it! She keeps her trainer smiling and laughing all day.

Her training is coming along very well. She’s very smart and catches on very quickly. So far “jump” is her favorite command. When it’s nap time if you don’t give her a pillow and blanket, she will go find one and drag it over to her bed. So cute!
