One Of A Kind

Can you believe how fast 10 weeks goes when you are having fun?!  That’s the case with Charger.  His trainer said he is truly going to miss Charger’s wonderful spirit and has learned as much from Charger.  He is like a one of a kind gem.  There are no other pups like him.

Charger’s trainer is very proud at how far he has come.  He knows his commands very well and will do them with or without treats.  “High Five” to Charger!  That’s another command he has learned.  Have Charger “sit” and then say “high five” and his paw will touch your hand.  It’s so cute! Now he can “shake”, “speak” and “high five”.  He’s quite the talented pup!

Full of love to give

Swap week is a fun week for everyone. The trainers get assigned another dog to see how they do taking commands from someone else and check for SA. Charger’s trainer for the week said he is a handsome, big boy! A happy boy that always has his long tail wagging when he comes out of his kennel to greet you. He’s so friendly and goes up to everyone to be petted and rubbed on. Charger is definitely a people person with four legs.

Charger gets excited at feeding time. He loves his food and treats of any kind. He will go through a list of commands hoping you will for his cute antics and give him what he wants… Food. He’s Charger the “chow hound”!

Speaking of commands… when it came time to test Charger doing his commands for his swap week trainer, he did them flawlessly. “10’s” across the board. He’s a smart dog, full of life and love, just waiting to give.

Charger Will Make You Smile

Charger lives life on his own schedule.  He trots around and gathers love from anyone that’ll dish it out.  He loves belly rubs and ear scratches.  He’s been figuring out about toys.  At first he didn’t really know what to do with ropes or teddy bears, but now he’s flying all over the play area with various toys.  His inmate trainer says it’s a rewarding sight!

His inmate trainer says that he is truly enjoying his time with Charger. He’s fun, smart, and will make you smile even when you’re gloomy. The family who is lucky enough to bring this boy home will not be disappointed.

PIck Me!

Charger has come a long way in his training. As predicted…a perfect “10” on the stairs. He overcame his fear and “Charged” right up and down them. His trainer couldn’t be more proud of his progress. Way to go Charger!

Let’s add 2 more commands to Charger’s ever growing list of knowledge. He now will “speak” on command and also “shake”. What a cool way for Charger to meet new people. He can politely “sit”, give a paw “shake” and say hello. Everyone will instantly fall in love with sweet boy Charger!

Charger has a girlfriend. You can see Yah Yah and Charger just hanging out and doggie cuddling whenever they can. Is it … puppy love? What human or greyhound couldn’t love a sweet, gentle, happy and loving boy like Charger. Won’t you give him his forever home he’s been looking for? He’s available and can’t wait to meet you!

A Truly Good Boy!

Charger is just packed full of all the things people can love about a dog. He is a true Good Boy! This week, he grew exponentially! He overcame many fears and struggles that he had been dealing with in prior weeks. Once afraid of walking on slippery, shiny surfaces, now he bravely walks through the halls without second-guessing himself whatsoever. His trusting heart and love for his caretakers gets him through it all. Last week, he wouldn’t budge on his stair training and with some encouragement and gentle motivation to push through, he did it! And this week he didn’t even need as much assistance. Next week, the forecast is a perfect 10 on the stairs.

Fun-loving guy

Welcome back to another week in the life of Charger! This week he made so much progress. He did great at show and tell and did all of his commands in front of everybody. He did great at leave it; you can set food on the ground or drop it and give the command "leave it" and he will not touch it at all. After he obeys, you can give him a treat and tell him he's a good boy (cause he is!).

Charger loves to have fun and run around the training room; he is a very sweet boy and gets along with all of his classmates. He can make your heart explode with joy just by looking at you. No matter how upset you are, or how tough of a day you are having, this guy is the cure.

Charger loves to eat a lot and is so ready for his new family. Are you ready fro him? Get ready, whoever is adopting this rad guy, because he is going to charge into your hearts with love and excitement galore. If you are looking for a loving, sweet boy that the whole family will love, then Charger is the guy for you!

A Good Combination. Treats And Attention

It was Show and Tell week and Charger did great!  This is the time when Charger gets a chance to show off to others the skills he’s mastered.  His inmate trainer says that he’s very proud of the progress Charger has made.

This boy loves treats! Marshmallows, peanut butter, kibble, anything yummy that he can sink his teeth into!  He also enjoys chilling and watching TV with the humans.  He’s motivated with food and affection.  Give him a Good Job and some attention and he’s one happy guy.

Charger started playing with toys and has become friends with Spirit  They run together in the big yard and have a great time just hanging out. His inmate trainer says that he’s really enjoying his time with the wonderful boy and can’t wait to see what he learns next!

This Charming Guy

Well hi there! Welcome back to another week of Charger’s life and a brand spankin’ new update.

This week, Charger and his trainer started doing the dreaded STAIR TRAINING! (“what are thooooose!”). Charger did good on his first go round, but he is still working on it in order to get better. He made a new friend, another greyhound, here. They love to run together! It’s such a joy to watch. This boy is fast on his feet.

Charger is a very eager to please guy and he will do anything to make you happy whenever he spots a chance to steal your heart. He is a very loving companion to have around. When he went into the training room one day this week, he started to play with a toy. It’s a toy bird that makes noise when you squeeze it. Charger goes CRAZY over it every time he hears it! He is so funny to watch when he plays. He gets low on his front legs and if you get low with him, he’ll run in a circle around you and then step back in front of you.

His trainer has been checking him for aggressive behavior, but even as animated as he gets during playtime, he is a very gentle dog to play with. He is going to win your heart a million times over. When you meet him, you will immediately fall into those big, sweet charming eyes and know instantly that you couldn’t have found a better companion in a million years!

Treasure Hunter

Charger has been working on “sit” this week.  His inmate trainer is proud to report that Charger has already preformed his first sit!  He still needs a little more practice of course, but he’s doing great!

He’s settling into his new environment and beginning to open up with his trainer.  Charger is a very loving boy who enjoys attention especially if he’s lying around on his bed.   He enjoys playing after training time.  He’s also a treasure hunter checking every nook and cranny for hidden gems.

Charging Right into Your Heart

Charger's primary trainer checking in for Week One, and boy it has been an exciting week! This is his trainer's first time working as the primary trainer and it is a blast. He has been working on bonding with Charger, hand feeding him for the first 72 hours. This helps to establish trust. He is making incredible progress so far. His trainer has been working on teaching him his name by holding up a treat at eye level and calling his name to look at him.  As soon as he does, you give him the treat and tell him "good boy!"

Charger is a very lovable, sweet boy. He loves to come out of his kennel to go on walks with his human. And this guy loves treats! Whoever gets to add Charger to their family, you are gonna fall in love with him at first sight. Tune in next week for the next episode of World's Most Lovable Boy!
