Opal Loves Everyone!

Opal is ready for graduation. She knows all her basic commands with verbal cues and hand signals. She is a very smart girl and super lovable. She enjoys laying on her bed and getting all the attention in the world. Her trainer has not found any aggressive behaviors with her at all towards anything. She loves everyone!

Opal’s trainer said she has been a great joy in his life and he’s happy to have had this chance to spend time with her. She is a wonderful dog and will be a great companion.

Precious Girl

Swap Week time!  Opal’s alternate inmate trainer says it was a very nice week and Opal was very charming.  He says the week flew by with this precious girl.  Not only is she beautiful, but her antics are beyond cute! She’ll hang her tongue out the side of her mouth while roaching.

She knows all of her commands. She loves ear scratches and treats.  She may seem a little shy at first, but it just takes her a little longer to warm up.  The flip side is that she’s very enthusiastic about people!  She loves humans and the attention (and treats) they provide.   At one point she was playing and chasing her alternate trainer around and having a blast.  So… is she just playing humans with the shy act?

Her alternate inmate trainer says that it was a short week with this wonderful girl!

Takes Retired Life Very Serious

Opal has had an exceptional week! She knows all her basic commands and enjoys working for treats. She is a lovable greyhound that enjoys laying on her bed or in her kennel. She lives up to the name, “retired greyhound”.

Opal is relaxed and loves spending human time getting lots of belly rubs. Her trainer has seen no aggressive behaviors with her towards anything at all. She gets along with other dogs and people. She is a very sweet girl and will be a great companion for anyone.

Easy To Love

Opal’s trainer is glad to say things are going great. He has been working with her on “down”. She was a little slow picking it up, but she’s got it now. Opal now knows kennel, wait, heel, here, sit, stay, bed, jump, leave it and now we can add down to her list of commands.

Opal is really smart and such a sweet hound. You just can’t help but love on her. Her favorite past time is laying around being lazy, waiting on someone to rub her belly. If you want a hound that’s smart and easy to love, Opal is your girl.

Natural Sweetheart!

Opal’s inmate trainer says that they’ve had a wonderful week!  Her training is going great!  She’s treat motivated and has no problems working for a yummy reward.  She’s acclimated well to the facility and seems happy as can be.

Opal’s trainer says that Opal is a loving girl who enjoys human time.  He believes that she will be a great companion for some very lucky family.  He said that she’s been a great joy in his life.  Opal is the kind of girl who just loves people.   She’s a natural sweetheart!

Yes To Belly Rubs

Opal has really been doing great with her training. They are now at a stage where they are refining her commands. She is a smart hound. Her trainer has been working with her with toys, bu she’s not really big on playing with them yet. She would much rather play with her trainer..

Opal loves to have her belly rubbed. When you stop, she looks up at you like I didn’t tell you to stop. She’s such a diva. LOL All kidding aside, her trainer said she is the most loving girl he has had the pleasure of working with and anyone will be blessed to adopt her.

A Hound To Love = Opal

We are at week four and training with Opal could not be going any better.  She will now sit on command and do a sit stay.  She has no problems with stairs anymore.  Teaching her to jump started a little bumpy, but now she jumps like a champ.  This girl has got it going on!!

Opal’s trainer said she is a sweetheart and a real joy to work with.  If you’re looking for a hound to love, you’ve found her.   Opal is her name.

Training Is Progressing Nicely

Opal has been progressing very well over the past week. She still has a ways to go, but she is well on her way. Her leash walking has improved a lot. She knows “bed". Opal does a good standing “stay” and she is learning to go up and down stairs.

Opal is an absolute sweetheart. Did I say that before? Well, she is and her trainer can’t say that enough. Opal will be a perfect fit for any family.

Showing Improvement

Opal’s training has been going really well this week!  Her inmate trainer says that he was a little worried at first because she came in so shy, but this week she’s started opening up more and showing great improvement! He says that she’s a true sweetheart and very smart.  She seems to be picking up on things easily, especially the treat portion of training.

They’ve been working on leash walking, feeding routine and bed.  She’s doing really well with all of these commands!

Absolute Sweetheart

Week one with Opal is going well. She was a little shy at first, but she’s slowly coming out of her shell. Her inmate trainer said she is an absolute sweetheart. Her inmate trainer said he can tell she is very smart already, as she’s picking up things pretty quick.

The first day her inmate trainer got her to do “down” on her bed Of course she got lots of treats. Now she will do “down” pretty much on demand, and it’s only been a couple of days.. They are taking baby steps for now, but her trainer can already tell Opal is going to do great things.
